What's wrong with this screenshot? (hint: nothing)

This is what I origanally thought the probalem was with the dealer getting the flush, but its not.

The Deal

The dealer is dealt two cards face down and you are dealt two cards face up. Three community cards (called the "Flop") are dealt face up. You predict whether or not your five-card poker hand will beat the dealer's hand. If you believe your hand will be as good or better than the dealer's hand, you Call. If you believe the dealer will have a better hand, you Fold. Clicking the Call button makes an additional bet that is twice the Ante. Clicking Fold forfeits the Ante and ends the game.

Two more community cards are dealt face up. There are now five community cards that both you and the dealer can use to make the best five-card poker hand possible. Some or all of the five community cards can be used to make the best five-card poker hand. If you did not Fold, and the dealer qualifies, your hand is compared to the dealer's hand to determine the winner.

Dont see it :what: :what: am I missing....

Yes, it is. Good thing he did catch the boat, or there'd be a VERY serious problem :)

(not RTG apparently)

I don't get it :what:

KK's hand beat the dealer's hand? KK had a FH and the dealer had a flush. What's wrong with that?

Unless I am looking at it wrong, I don't really use this software.

I don't get it either. Pretend that I'm a really dumb blond, and explain it to me please. Minus any snappy comebacks, lol. :D

The problem is that the program is saying the dealer has a flush, but in fact he does not. He has a total of 3 diamonds - one in his hand and 2 on the board. You need a total of 5 of any one suit for a flush! Major software glitch, this site should be counting their lucky stars that the player caught that full house - however, in my opinion, still definitely something to bring to their attention!!

He has one in his hand, and four on the board....doesn't he? Don't the last two cards count? Am I really that dumb I'm not getting this? :eek2:

No - the dealer does have a flush.

Unless he has to use BOTH his hole cards to make a hand?

Well, I must be dumber & blonder!!!

I thought the dealer had two BLACK tens! :o (Cos the red's changed to grey!)

Sorry everyone, nothing wrong except I must be spending too much time looking at a computer screen! :o :p :o

PS: Call = raise.
PPS: Any chance someone could delete this whole thread? :o

That's it...isn't it??? Cheeky, I think you've got it!!

hmmmm, perhaps it's a game I'm not 100% familiar with. It must not be regular poker.. lol.. The only time I've seen that you have to use both hole cards is in Omaha, but that could be... could someone enlighten us?? This is now going to bother me until I figure out what the hell is wrong with this picture!!!! lmao

Don't worry you're not alone KK. I'll suffer the humiliation with you :D

It looks like Texas Hold 'Em Bonus. You make the best five-card hand out of your two hole cards plus the 5 cards dealt on the table.

You can look at it the same way you would look at Texas Hold' Em, because for all intents and purposes it is the same game. In Hold' Em, you do not need to use either of your hole cards. If the best hand is on the table, that's what you've got.

Don't feel bad Liquid, I have days like that too, lol. I was just so sure that something had to be wrong with it, that I was reaching. Damn that KK for causing all this upset. :D

Sure Simmo, more like you're so busy studying French pick-up lines, that you've forgotten good old English. ;)

Hell, I am relieved to find out how this turned out. I read the first couple of posts earlier today and then spent some time reviewing "what beats what." Finally figured my blonde hair had taken control of my brain cuz I could not figure out what was wrong with the screenshot.

KK I nominate you as honorary Blonde for the Day:D

You know Winbig, I'm glad you posted that. I knew it, but I always forget about the flush/full house. Happened tonight while I was playing. There were four hearts showing (I had none), but I did have a full house. My mind went blank for a minute and I almost folded. I didn't, but almost. :)

May I ask a stupid question? (I am still learning poker)
Doesn't dealer have two pairs (2 tens and 2(community) kings?

Well Lydia, the dealer does indeed have 2 pair, but he also made a better hand, i.e. the flush (diamonds).

Fancy a game of poker :p

edit, the confusion could come from that you don't always have to use both or even one of your hole cards to make the best hand.

Sure, you'd like such players at tournaments, no doubts!

I am pretty good at JOB, but now I am trying different kinds of poker - all in PRACTICE mode! Still confused, but getting better every day! :p
