I was never a big fan of WMS, even at the best of times.
I do remember many a thread in my early CM days where many people here would rave about WMS slots.
But for some reason, I just could not share that enthusiasm.
Games like Bruce Lee, Montezuma, Ruby Slippers just seemed to leave me with that buyers remorse feeling.
Rhino was probably the only game by WMS that I would play with any regularity.
And for a while, it was undoubtedly my favourite slot....by any provider.
Then the HTML5 "makeover" happened....now I hardly ever play Rhino.
And that is despite doing fairly well on it since I ended my 10 month break from playing it.
For the most part, I'm not one to buy into the tinfoiling theories, but if there is one game where I am convinced that changes were made to the game for the worst, then Rhino is that game.
That said, I don't think the RTP has been altered at all. Just the variance. I now firmly believe it has gone from being HV to VHV.
I know that many here (quite rightly so and I too am one of them) believe that the likes of NextGen, Netent and MG have lost their way.
The thing is, I still find myself playing MG 243 ways quite regularly. And I still occasionally play some of the Netent slots, like Wild Turkey and the turd.
But WMS? I'll barely average one session of Rhino per month.
And as for NextGen (whom I always rated higher than WMS), the fact that they are now linked to SG has only served to make me avoid them like a barge pole. I cannot remember for the life of me the last time I even tried 300 Shields or Gorilla Go Wild.
