If you are playing for instance the monthly monster , and in line for a prize , and you login to find the casino is no longer taking UK players and your account has transferred to Betway - what happens to the money you would have when the tournament ends in a couple of days ? It will not transfer to Betway as you will have a different ID.

You contact the old casino in order to retrieve your prize. It doesn't matter how it's achieved, there is no excuse for confiscating it. It's really a problem for Microgaming, they should have thought of this when they developed the migration system.

The obvious alternative would have been to lock down the tournaments for UK players at an earlier stage in the run up to migration so that no UK players would get caught up in the mess.

The migration of Crazy Vegas to Casino UK screwed up the tournaments, and the account got broken. It then migrated to Roxy palace, and it's still broken, tournaments don't work. In Betway, my ORIGINAL Betway account has somehow been broken, even though it hasn't migrated from elsewhere, I opened it years ago. My alias simply vanished, and clicking on any tournaments does nothing, not even an error message.

I have managed to avoid the mess by not depositing at any casino not confirmed as staying with the UK since mid July. The tournament problem was never fixed at Casino UK, so I wasn't able to compete in the final €20,000, which was just as well because they changed their minds AGAIN only a couple of weeks later, and I would have been unable to finish.

I am STILL getting 30% offers for Royal Vegas, yet this is supposed to have already migrated, so WTF are they playing at I have had NO email at all telling me what is going on at Fortune Lounge.

It's a damn good job I deserted them in mid July, as if I hadn't, I would be getting jerked around left, right, and centre by all this dithering over the migrations.

Only 32Red and Casino Rewards have seen action from me in September. I have Betway, Roxy Palace, and Spin Casino installed, but they are still broken, and I have heard nothing about the problems being fixed (tournaments) or my migrated accounts being ready to use.

Customer support at Riverbelle say that they, jackpotcity, gaming club and king neptune will PROBABLY not be closing to UK customers until 31 october , and they will give notice beforehand - butt lucky nugget closed a few days ago, and I was not notified beforehand. Has anyone had any kind of notification from any of the casinos in that group ?

If it's not a network tournament, then any non Brit member here (except the Americans) should have a chance to check for you.

Once you know where you stood when it ends, you will know EXACTLY what prize you are due, and won't have to rely on the casino's honesty and efficiency.

It's probably best to avoid them unless the casino gives you a specific date of closure after the end of the tournament.

UK players are soon to be excluded from ALL these regular freerolls, and depending on how many UK players were competing, this could lead to the prize pools being devalued, a trend that has already been evident for some time.

The €20,000 at Vegas Partners used to be €25,000 - but even before this, it was sometimes €30,000. The Fortune Lounge tournaments used to offer a top prize of $2000, but now it's $450. The old "weekender" used to be worth much more than the current €10,000 prize pool we see today.

Microgaming have given up on the idea of a "Grand Slam of Slots" event with VERY high prizes. The first offered $1,000,000 to the winner. The second had a smaller pool, but was an accumulator, and $1,000,000 was on offer for getting ALL the achievements on the buy in and 5 continues. Needless to say, Microgaming didn't have to fork out the $1,000,000 that time. No one knows what the third one was like, it never happened, and the event now seems to have been shelved. All we get now are a few €100,000 network pools, like the recent Argyle Open.
