What exactly constitutes a "jackpot" on MG 243-way slots?

I'm talking about those jackpot thermometers they have on their download casinos.

I know for a fact the BdBA one is accurate because any time I've hit 5 sapphires with wild it immediately resets to 80.0, and I also see people post screenies on here of things like 5 Hellboy with wild (jasminebed did earlier), so I go to check and that one has also reset. But then what about the 243-way slots? TSII, IR, TFROL, SWR etc - those thermometers reset to 80-ish all day long. There can't honestly be players getting a screen full of wilds countless times every day on those slots? That would be hundreds of thousands of pounds on those few slots alone every single day. Or maybe it is actually happening?

I realise it says "for the last 5 jackpots" below the thermometers, but then why immediately reset when getting a jackpot on the aforementioned BdBA and Hellboy etc?

I just don't really understand them, and it's off-putting. I go to play a game only to see this thermometer reset, so I go elsewhere. I probably should ignore them, but still

I think you've answered your own question - they obviously pertain to standard spins and the best win attainable on them. Due to the frequency of resets on TSII IR etc. I'd say it's like your BDBA example - a line of the highest possible win, in those cases 5 wilds. 5 wilds on IR and TSII isn't that rare, even I've had it on TSII and it only pays about 266-1! Whether the Loki and Sarah features on TSII and IR respectively count I don't know, as those features regularly throw in combos with a natural doubling-wild and the wild vine or wild magic wild making up a 5-wild line or two. When I hit the 1000+-1 on Hitman in the winner screenies, i.e. sniper followed by 3 stacked wilds and sniper on reel 5 making several 5-line sniper combos I think it reset too.

I agree that it cannot be the full 5-reels shitstorm and wild-desire features that reset them as these are hideously rare. What I want to know is do the features count, i.e. on Hitman getting Daniel all the way and then a 6x multiplier. On Track and Field mouse it's anyone getting the 3-mice. Who knows.

All I do know is that they are NO indicator (as MG state) of your likelihood of hitting a big win. Why you should get put off by them being at 80 I don't know. It really doesn't matter, as they are all random...:D

It had crossed my mind that perhaps merely 5 wilds would reset them but I wanted a few other opinions. It would make sense.

I know they are random, I just can't help myself :(

Played TS2 since it came out. Never had 5 wilds (or 4 come to that) or 5 bonus. Had a few large bonus rounds though.

Yes, but get the OP's post into your context - it's not about your or my experiences, it's about multitudes of players, simultaneously playing these very popular slots at all different MG casinos and that's what resets the temperatures...

Are the temperatures networked? Like the Mega Moolah progressives...

A calculated guess would be yes, the central server registers the win, and resets the temp. wherever it is won. You can guess this by the frequency with which they (the temps) change; I doubt this would occur just from one skin's players.

No, the temperatures are different at each casinogroup.
But within a group they are the same, 32RED, Dash, Golden Lounge all show the same values.
My guess is that this is because they are connected to the same server.
But Palace Group casinos for example show entirely different values than 32RED group casinos.

To the OP:
I honestly have no idea what triggers the meter to reset on a 243 way slot, for 5 wilds it seems to reset too often imo.
Just take Leagues of Fortune, that one just keeps resetting every 10-15 minutes, and wilds on that game are VERY rare.

Guess we'll never know, as Microgaming will not tell us..

This is what I am trying to get across - FORGET you as an individual, and your solo experience-based perspective of appearances of certain big wins. Think of hundreds or even thousands playing the game at the same time. Those hard-to-get big payouts in the pool of random numbers have a greater chance of being pulled out and thus resetting the temp.
