Hi,

I have googled and i think its a part from Mywebsearch( crap advertising software) can you go to START and they type MSCONFIG in the textfield, and they goto startup tab where you can see what is running when you start the computer, can you find MP3plugin there? if so uncheck it and restart your pc.

thank coenie for the very useful tip. i just used it and unchecked one unwanted item on my start up list.

rockycatt: perhaps you could do a system restore if you don't like what was just installed to your system. (start-> all programs -> accessories -> system tools -> system restore) or follow coenie instructions to just get rid of the pop up.

There are some free programs that will help get rid of addware(pop-ups) and some malware(the bad stuff)

Spybot - I use the paid version myself... There is a free version.

I would also upgrade your anti-virus software and run a full scan, if I were you.

I would try this before you restore and lose data.
