Just got the following in a CSR chat:

---
Assad: Unfortunately in compliance with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, which was passed by the United States Congress on the September 30, 2006 and was signed by President Bush on the 13th of October 2006, i must regretably advise that as at 22nd January 2007, 13:00 PM (GMT), the casino ceases to accept wagers from players based in the United States Of America. As a result, your casino account has been closed.

Assad: We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused & stress that all player balances and any pending withdrawals are securely held by Cyber Finance Investments Limited. The casino will be in contact with you over the coming weeks to make arrangements to have your funds paid to you.

(This would include King Solomon's, Geisha Lounge, Gold Key, Portofino, and Magic Oasis)

Quite a bummer, as they were very reliable about sending out bonuses, and were paid in a moderately prompt fashion.

Plus I had a $35 withdrawal pending, which I probably will get by check a long long time from now.

Really

The act was signed in OCTOBER, they close accounts NOW. How much notice did they give players, or was this "lock first & explain when players complain to CS"
Another poster is claiming that their WINNINGS are being voided because they had, by chance, been unable to complete WR on a coupon due to not receiving notification that this withdrawal was about to take place.
This has nothing to do with the bill, casinos pulled out in October who based their decision on the bill signing.
Wager Junction need to demonstrate that they will make an ex-gratia adjustment to the coupon rules where players have been unable to meet the terms due to account closures. A pro-rata amount of the bonus should be removed to reflect uncompleted WR, but any winnings must be paid to set an example to the rest of how an orderly withdrawal from the market should be managed. It is enough that affected players face delays and inconvenience in receiving their funds due to other changes.

That, plus the fact that they allowed CURRENT players from the USA to continue playing there WELL AFTER the UIGEA went into effect.

They only closed shop to USA players after Neteller and others pulled out of the market. The way it looks to me is that they planned this.
