Does anyone know if a visa giftcard can be used for gambling online, or does it have to be a prepaid visa and do all prepaid visa work,,, where can i go in and buy one to use online???

I will give you my vast amount of knowledge on this subject. :D

I think the only cards that US players can use are Netspend and Wired Plastic Visa prepaid cards. I think the gift card variety no longer work. That said, Netspend will put a hold on deposits made with your card if they flag as gambling sites. $50 deposits will get you a week and over $100 will get you a month. So far, Quicktender deposits go thru on mine but Slotocash get held. I think Club World deposits go thru also or at least so far they have.

Hope this helps.

Prior to purchasing my prepaid All access Netspend Visa, I used to buy the "Visa giftcards" the only ones I had a problem with were "Vanilla Visa" (which can be bought at Walgreens, etc) but that was well over 8 months ago so I am not sure if any Visa Gift card will work anymore, I also had a problem with "Greendot" prepaid, which worked for a little while but then shut the US out of any site they considered a gambling site.

I purchased my Reloadable All Access Visa at an at "Extra mart" (usually where there is a Mobil gas station there is an Extramart convenience store).
I've also seen them in the convenience stores at "Gibbs" gas stations.
I myself haven't had any problems at all (yet) depositting at any of my favorites with my Netspend All Access Visa. ;)
I also use Quicktender which I believe you can fund with any Visa or M/C. If you have a Quicktender account you might be able to deposit the gift card amount into that account. I usually use my QT for online gambling and I only use the prepaid if I have to.

I'm not sure where in the US you are, so maybe you should do a search for "Extramart", "Mobil" or "Gibbs" gas stations in your area and call to make sure they sell them before going to pick one up.
Also IF you try to use the one you have, you should probably consider depositting the full amount at once. Just in case. There were times a card would work for me, but then on a second attempt it wouldn't.
Good Luck!

As Mystic said, I don't know what part of the country you live, but try any western union or check cashing store usually found in the less affluent part of any city :)

Ty that is what i was wondering, if the visa at the check cashing store would work,,, because the virtual visa to me is the same thing,,, I do not want to use my checking account anymore, too easy to go over, I want a card that I only use for gambling and always top off with cash... Thank you all so much for your advice, help and suggestions.... thank you and happy holidays

I used to use the All Access Visa Gift card (netspend). About 3 or 4 months ago they replaced them in our local supermarkets with Visa gift cards from "online mall" or some name like that. I bought one to try it out but the card # did not start with 4007. That seemed to be the only ones that worked. I think the prepaid ones are still good

Your best bet is to get yourself a "Wired Plastic" card, Netspend is nothing but trouble...I dumped mine about six or so months ago and went with "Wired Plastic" and can deposit anywhere without any trouble at all and there are never no holds put on the card, at least mine has never had any holds placed on it and I use it a hell of a lot...lol

Robwin, and what may I ask is a "wired plastic" and where can it be bought?
Is this in USA??

Geez, I read over that wired plastic card's terms, it looks to me like how much are you willing to spend just to gamble online? About $50 just to get started, charge to load, charge to spend, monthly charges, yearly charges... sheesh!

An enterprising casino should open an affiliate account with them and offer some sort of bonus to offset all the charges that accompany that card.

I have had my WP card for over a year and I don't pay those kinds of fees. I think it is $3.95 per month with no per transaction fees unless it's the usual ATM fees. They charge $6.95 for an international wire received and that's about it. I haven't looked to see if they have changed since I got mine.

Are you saying they will accept payments from the casino(s)? The $3.95 seems much more reasonable than the 9.95/mos that All Access debit card charges

I relooked over the fees, the yearly fee is either billed in one lump sum or $3.95 a month, I thought it was both. There's some other new fees as of 05/2008.

About 3/4 of the way through the terms is the fee list

Awhile ago, since I play at online vegas casino from time to time is this card..

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

You have to put in at least $100 though, after you complete their registration and confirmation areas to use it.

They accept USA people for this card also.

Thing is, I have never seen it used by anyone other than online vegas. I could be wrong though.

**Waiting impatiently for their $100,000 Free Slot Tourney to start. It runs from Dec 1st to Dec 15th. :)

Stovetopp, I have my Quicktender account set up to send withdrawals to my Wired Plastic account. I don't know if they will accept wires directly from a casino, if a US player can still do wires, but they will accept wires from Quicktender. So, I withdraw to Quicktender and then send to WP. All in all, fees from QT and WP cost about $50 in total per withdrawal. Most of that amount is $30 from QT and $10 from the middle process and about $10 from WP. Takes about a week to get from one place to another. So far it works for me.

I have been using the All Access Netspend card for years now and have never had a problem with it (RTG & MG). They are getting harder to find now, especially the prepaid ones...they seemed to have taken these out of all the stores. You can still find the reloadable ones though, which is a better deal in the long run anyhow, especially if you deposit frequently.

I bought one of those "online mall" Visa's once a few weeks ago, and was able to deposit at Villento with it, but had trouble at a few other sites....

All Access Visa

The all access VISA gift card works everywhere. On the back it has to say Inter National Bank. There is also the other bank that Netspend utilizes which is MetaBank which rejects gaming charges. You will have a problem if it is through MetaBank, or is a mastercard. Once you buy your giftcard and activate it, it takes 33 minutes to be able to use. So! Don't rush home and think it will be ready to go in 10 minutes. Not going to happen. Do not call customer service for a balance as it will deduct .50 from your balance. Hence, your $50.00 gift card is now only worth $49.50 and your trying to deposit $50.00 wondering why its rejecting.

They come in denominations of$25, $50, and $100. Thats what I have seen around here. You can go here to find the locations for the gift card. Just put in your zip code. Its really easy, the fee is like I think 4.95 or 5.95. For me its 1/4 of the distance to pick one up then to go load my netspend.

I don

I have been using the "Gift to Go Gift Visa" which are sold at walgreens without any problem. They come in 30,50 and 100 denominations..there is a fee of about 3.95 per card..
I have been using these cards along with the all access prepaid gift visa card without any problem..
the only thing i need to stress here is to wait at least one hour after purchase before you even try to fund your casino account..it seems it takes an hour for it to actually become valid for some reason..and if you try it too early and receive a rejection from the casino, it takes forever for that rejection to clear the system..but anyway..this is what i use and I have had no trouble at all..

good luck :)

You might want to check where you purchase these cards to see if they have a "Reloadable" card. The reloadable card is a one time fee of about $9.95 when you purchase it (there is a reload fee for each time you reload it), when you get home you can access thier site or contact them by telephone,. Once you give them your information (register the card to you) You are good to go!! AND you will get a reloadable card in the mail with your name on it within two weeks. You can still reload the temporary card while you wait for your personalized card to arrive in the mail, but you don't have to wait to use it . There is a "reload" fee., but you are already paying fees for each of the cards you purchase that is NOT reloadable.
In the long run, I find it's much more practical to have the reloadable card. I even used mine to rent a truck when we moved!! And it's much easier to reload one or two hundred dollars than run out to the store every time you use up the funds on your $25 or $50 card.
I remember when I used to buy those gift cards, I made alot of trips to the same store :D .... IMHO it's alot more practical to have a reloadable one.

Just make sure you do NOT to get the Greendot brand Mastercard. It's no good for online gaming at all.

I do have Netspend reloadable. Like I said, I just go pick up the gift card because its down the block, rather than drive 10 minutes to go reload. The closest place for me to reload is Pavillions or Vons. They do not have the option to reload where I buy the giftcard, and its so much closer.. The gift card and the reloadable is a $1 difference. Gift is 5.95 to reload the Netspend at the grocery store $4.95.
