Hi Everyone

As you may have seen, with Horse Racing off the radar for the near future, ITV are broadcasting the Virtual Grand National at 5pm tomorrow (Saturday).

All major bookmakers are betting on the virtual race with any profits going to the NHS who continue to work so tirelessly in the current climate.

With the race outcome dictated by an RNG I wondered whether it would attract any of you casino players who may not usually bet on sport?

The odds are all the same across bookmakers and determined by an algorithm which is designed to give as accurate as a result as possible. Will Tiger Roll (5/1) win for a third time? I don’t think so, but more on that later...

Charlie.

Ok, I’ve taken a look. Heres my prediction on the top 5 as just published:

1. Kimberlite Candy 16/1
Has experience of the National fences having finished runner up to Walk In The Mill in the Becher Chase on his penultimate start.

2. Walk In The Mill 16/1

Has a bit to find with Tiger Roll even at the revised weights but improved again when winning the Becher Chase in December and he looks sure to “run” another big race.

3. Any Second Now 10/1

Won the Kim Muir over three-and-a-quarter miles at the Cheltenham Festival back in 2019 and showed his class when winning over the minimum trip of two miles on his last start.

4. Potters Corner 18/1

The Welsh Grand National winner who would have been my selection for the actual race on good to soft or softer ground.

5. Kildisart 45/1

Lacks experience of the National fences but ran a terrific race when second in the ultra-competitive Ultima Handicap at the Cheltenham Festival last month.

Thus, no Tiger Roll in my top five. Good luck everyone.

I couldn’t bring my self to do a bet on this it just feels a bit like drinking alcohol free beer what’s the point..

Well to raise some money for the NHS isn't a bad thing surely?

Knew Tiger Roll wouldn't win, it would have cost the bookies money, and the whole point was to raise some for the NHS, not that I think he would have won for real anyway

No course it’s not a bad thing I’ve seen the virtual racing and it just doesn’t seem right.
As for the money going to the NHS I wasn’t aware due to not reading the whole thread and trying my hardest to have my self on a media black out until they decide to balance their reporting (I’ll be a long time dead)zz

Tiger was a big winner for us, punters didn’t go for it!

Drinking beer if the only goal is to get drunk is like eating salads to get fat.
I would think someone living in vodka-land would understand that. :p

I agree. But, and this is a BIG BUT, non alcoholic beer is not beer. I don't know what it is. Most likely some sort of blasphemy.
