I tested out Virgin casino (Wagerworks) this week. I played with a debit card, cashed out about £300 on Monday afternoon and it was in my (UK) bank account this morning Wednesday

I thought Wagerworks had a 12 hour reverse? But the money was not available to reverse after I withdrew. Excellent :) haven't tested the Neteller option yet though...!

Gotta say the Wagerworks software is a mixed bag. They seem to have cleared up the disconnection errors, but some of the games are weird. The paylines of some of the slots are just plain odd!! When you're used to MG, it can be frustrating when you think you landed a win to find the line layout is so totally weird. Lol. Cluedo got my vote for best game I tried.

Interesting experience though.

Actually I was thinking about this. It's weird, or perhaps it isn't, but all the experiences I've had at what I'd term "high street brand" casinos have been good. Leaving William Hill's out of that for now beacuse of their total lack of interest in support.

But mainly this is because they pay out so quick. Just recently I've played Ladbrokes, Virgin, Tote and Littlewoods and all have paid me within 2 days by bank wire. No messing around, no ID, no reverse withdrawal period...just exactly like you want it to be. And you always hear good things about Harrods and Ritz.

Maybe this is why 32Red gets a lot of attention - with management coming from a Ladbrokes background? Maybe there's something in this. I guess there are some logistic reasons: for example most of the Big names do not accept US punters, most have proprietary banking systems and most have sportsbook experience...perhaps these are necessary to provide this type of cashout service?

But whatever, for me, speedy, reliable, hassle-free cashouts are one of the major factors - correction, probably THE major factor - in deciding where I stay to play.

Anyway...just thinking aloud.

Shameless plug

Seriously, I have hope for Wager Works software - hoping that they will incorporate the "Leading Edge" Multi Strike video poker since IGT has bought up Wagerworks.

I could always ask :D

That would be awesome! I just wrote earlier to them suggesting they need more video pokers and some "free spins" slots. With Multi-Strike and a "Thunderstruck" alternative, they could seriously get some votes

I love that WW publish the expected returns on all games in the paytables too. Class move.

Virgin Casino

Thanks for the posts, always good to see positive feedback.

Just so you know Virgin Casino will be putting 7 new Video Poker games live on w/c 20th August. Several of you mentioned the fact that we were light on our selection of VP so weve increased our selection of Video Poker games to 9 and will be working with Wager Works on developing new variations. I'll let you know if we make any progress on Multi Stike!

If youre interested in Slots theres a new Pyramid Slot going live in August and there are some great new games coming in the next few months like Cleopatra, a new version of Wheel of Fortune and a new version of Monopoly.

The bonus rounds on future slots will feature both stake bonuses and free spin bonuses as well as a combination of the two.

Have a good weekend.

Josh

You ain't kidding!
Look at this 'screenshot that sucks' that I just hit.
Heart in mouth - but won sweet FA!
(15 winlines - but that isn't one of 'em)

That's better!

LOL.

Wagerworks seem to be very up-and-coming IMO. When you look at the brand names that they have pulled onboard, you have to be impressed. It's still a long way off Microgaming's software if you ak me (no autoplay, smaller games choice, Flash only etc etc), but the Client list is very impressive

Just as an addendum, when I cashed out over £3k, i got asked for ID. I sent it off by email (digital photos of statement and passport) and had it verified within the hour and my cashout limit upped to £5k a day...at 8pm on a Saturday night

Ohhhh please let us in, I love your games and can only play in fun mode....If I move out of the US, can I come play then? :D
Oh yessss Please please?:)
When I first came online Virgin was one of the first I went to..I love the wheel of fortune...does ANYONE have that game that US players can play?

Millionaires Club at Cryptologic (Intercasino etc) is very very similar :) Plus you could win $4million probably (unless I missed it being won which somehow I doubt as it's likely to make more headlines on the casino forums than if the US legalised gambling!).

Millionaires Club at Cryptologic
Naw, not even close. Uninstalled them a while back after a run of 35, 43, 44 hands of blackjack respectively in a weeks time and winning 6, 8, 6. Figured enough was enough. Don't need to be playing there anymore. Changes have become evident at a lot of these places.

Need a new home and Virgin's seems very entertaining in play mode with bonus rounds intermittently spread throughout the session, unlike most of these casinos lately. Can't hit a bonus round to save your life, even in fun mode anymore it seems.

Yes the slots are quite fun, though they really need some "Free Spins" slots IMO.

Games aside, the Wagerworks software in general impresses me. Unlike all the other providers, it also leaves me with the feeling that it has been designed with a degree of "responsibility" in mind. Payout percentages in the Paytables, the fact that every hour it pops up a message saying "You have been playing for X hours" and that it allows instant withdrawals with No Reverse (presumably at the casino's discretion?).

Those little things all seem very professional. Then add to the fact that the licencees they are attracting are BIG names...I'd say we have a potential contender in the future when the games are expanded.

I'm always stunned when I get the 1-hour pop-up at Wagerworks - it's almost a miracle to last that long without some sort of error cropping up :D

I agree it's a good idea and does at least give you a chance for a moment of lucidity. I thought about it reading that other thread about problem gambling. If casinos were really serious about helping they could have similar pop-ups asking you if you're certain when you redeposit after losing your balance, or perhaps telling you exactly how much you're down (or up) at the casino. They could restrict you from re-redepositing for a cooling-off period, and so on. All pie in the sky, I know. Casinos make all their money from problem gambling, seeing as pretty much all gambling without a bonus & a plan is problem gambling ;)

There's never been a reverse withdrawal or pending period at Wagerworks casinos. Talking of responsible gambling, if casinos or organisations like eCOGRA were moderately serious about it that "feature" would of course be banned.

Amazing isn't it! All the years I have been playing at these casinos (inter especially) and I never knew about this pop-up for I guess I was never lucky enough to go that long.

Guess that reconfirms my uninstallation choice for what good is playing at any given casino regardless of reputation when one doesn't win anything at all and now to find out also that one doesn't last long enough to even see a pop-up window (that would have been the thrill of the day IMO) !?

Sorry but am not impressed. Any limits imposed on cashouts are unacceptable for me. What if you win a jackpot?

Ah yeah I think thats just "automated" cshouts. I think you can still request a bigger cashout from support. Agree it could be better. And it shouldn't affect a jackpot as this gets paid by Wagerworks to the casino and then on to you as one lump.

WagerWorks has always been one of my favorite software.
I just don't understand why do they leave online the old games such as Bananarama, Three Reel Holdup and Vacation USA, they look so poor and their width is so bad (I hope it means what I meant).
Even BayWatch looks so old comparing to Cluedo or Monopoly.
I would love to see the multi strike video poker on Virgin.
For those who haven't play them, they can be found here, for demo play:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

By the way, I do'nt see any new video poker on Virgin Casino...I don't even see a video poker section there. It's strange because WagerWorks have video pokers on BlueSquare for example.
After playing VP at LedGaming (give a try to the multi-strike Elvis slot, it's funky) I've been at VideoPoker.com....waouw, this website is the VP player paradise.
I looks like that they just provide the game for fun that can only be played in real casinos. Am I right ?
