I tried to make chrbr's post easier to read, here it is:
Why I am against Vera&John becoming an accredited casino on CM
Dear Community,
I am a very rare poster here, I prefer browsing and reading, but in the case of V&J becoming an accredited site I decided to compose a thread. I am absolutely opposed of them becoming an accredited site here.
I have and had accounts with pretty much all sites which are accredited and apart from Vegas Palms Casino which screwed me out of 1050 € and 3Dice which screwed me out of much more (57 consecutive losing deposits lead me to leave for good due to suspected fraudulent activity on behalf of 3Dice)
I can confirm that being accredited here is really a seal of trust. I have had many issues and also disputes with accredited CM sites over the years but they were all ultimately solved apart from the two issues mentioned before.
Now to Vera & John. They have a great site, a vast selection of games, fast cashouts and the coin shop is a great idea. Why should they not be accredited? Because they behave unethically, give you false information and do everything so that it is to your disadvantage e.g. screw you out of money.
In my particular case I opened an account about 1-2 years ago. I deposited small (20 EUR), played myself up to 200 EUR, then I played BJ and lost 10 consecutive 20 EUR bets. That put me off and as first impression counts I asked the account to be closed. Last December I came home from a party, slightly drunk and surfed on Internet sometime 4 in the morning. I landed at V&J and couldn´t remember whether I had an account there.
I went on live chat and asked whether I had an account and gave them my full details. The operator told me I had a closed account and should simply reopen one.
I explicitly asked whether that is allowed and it was confirmed. The chat transcript I had mailed. So I opened an account, deposited 100 EUR and won 500 EUR which I cashed out happily. The money was on my account the next day, they didn´t even ask for docs. Fantastic, what an uncomplicated casino.
The next day I deposited around 300 EUR and cashed out close to 800 EUR which again was on my account the next day. Bank account, not ewallet, what a super payment provider (Trustly). I was becoming a real VJ fan.
The day after I deposited another 2-300 EUR and won 800 EUR which I cashed out. Very unfortunately V&J has a short pending period of a few hours.
I had asked for manual flushing, but they ignored this. After I logged back in to my V&J account strangely the funds were still there. Well I decided to give it another go and boosted it up to 1000 EUR when the games turned completely, but from one second to the next. I have to add I only play BJ, no slots, no other games only BJ.
I started losing 10-15 times in a row flatbetting, I 20, dealer 21, I 21, dealer BJ. The usual.
Well sadly I busted out which already upset me and I tried to contact support asking why flush hadn´t been done but chat was not available for me during the entire session. Well, as I was ahead I decided to redeposit and I deposited around 300 EUR chasing my non processed win. No chance, lost it in 15 minutes. I was on fire and wanted to continue as suddenly my deposit was rejected and I was locked out. I couldn´t reenter my account. Later I received email that I was locked out for multiaccounting. No Joke.
So after 2 days of heavy gambling multiple deposits and cashouts they decided to throw me out for multiaccounting and told me I was never allowed to play there aver again. Then a very lengthy email correspondence followed. It was pretty obvious that they were monitoring me during my play time and I openly accuse them of not processing my win, letting me deposit up to their internal limit and then locking me out. I however hat the chat transcript from when I signed up which showed that I specifically asked whether I could sign up again and the casino specifically allowed it. They tried to pull tricks with not having seen that it was a permanent ban etc. but that was all mumbo jumbo. I then asked them for processing of my win or at least a fraction as they had ignored my flush request.
Then I asked to have the funds returned which I deposited after having lost the 800 EUR as I had no chance to recuperate any losses. I alerted them that I was going to make a case at the lga about unethical business practice. What they then did really surprised me and shows what kind of place this is. They said they would not return any funds as I had a slight plus on their site anyway but my account was open to play as I wish and I could have any deposit limit I want. When I read that I flipped. I told them that the trust relationship between us is completely destroyed and I would never return to their site. This is simply totally unethical business practice, incompetence and greed. Unfortunately due to my busy schedule I never had the time to take this any further as my original intention was so I let them get away with it. Maybe some of you readers ask yourself what I actually want since I won (300 EUR plus).
Well, we all know that we lose more than we win. If we don´t have our occasional cashouts gambling can become an existential problem. Especially when you are on sites like 3Dice (57 losing deposits in a row, before I decided that when I reach 100, I won´t be able to pay the rent anymore so I jumped ship...but that is another story)
Casino players need their wins also and if fate decides to give you a slightly bigger win it´s fair enough, since over time it all evens out. 1 step ahead 2 steps backwards, the essence of gaming. Unfortunately it´s so much thrill so we prefer to ignore this. Before it gets to philosophical I want to emphasize that due to my experience I am totally opposed to Vera & John becoming accredited.
Accredited sites MUST have ethical business practices, must be competent and must be able to get fair solutions with players in case of disputes. Vera & John is a triple fail in all three disciplines, so I give them a clear THUMBS DOWN. Of course all of you are free to play and I wish everyone the best of luck and not such problems as I had them!
Thanks for reading my post.
