Tariffs are paid by the consumer as much as the exporter (who could lose sales if he passes the charge on, so will probably 50/50 it).

Can't believe I spent the best part of a year or two arguing in favour of this swine, and even Harry's criticism of him now looks mild!

Greenland is no more under threat of invasion by China and Russia than canada or even cuba, just nonsense attempts at justification for a huge land grab, effectively adding a second Alaska to the balance sheet.

What next China could invade Australia in the far future so we'd better have that as well! Just piss off, you're an embarrassment of an ally leader.

Had to look into it lol. Essentially everyone loses, but who loses more depends on the goods. But overall it's a silly game. The only winners are some domestic industries for some time because competition drops.

Yeah I agree with that analysis, the only other thing is if we reciprocated with measures against US consumer giants that operate in Europe then it would clearly be shooting themselves in the foot: Google, apple, HP, levis etc...we're still resourceful enough (just) to create alternative brands if we had to.

And obviously with 30+ trillion debt they're living well beyond reasonable expectations as a nation, so it wouldn't surprise me if this Greenland business isn't a long term plan to cover the rising debt, they have to have something new on the other side of the balance sheet.

Thing is, the US is the top LNG supplier to Europe now. So it's tough to play games with them. Only Norway is self sufficient and others rely on imports. Some have their own gas but not enough.

Jesus Christ reading all the Epstein stuff...well...Im pretty sure the US actually elected a pedophile ring to run their country.

Lets hope Trump doesnt decide to take the world with him when he goes. The guy is completely unhinged and the Trump name forever tarnished. He is pretty proud of his name so I dont see this ending well for anyone.

I dread to see what distractions he will throw at us in order to avoid questions and to try to prevent the rest of the files being released. The latest excuse is that those that are held back are just duplicates. But that is bullshit and the testimonies of those effected have not been released which proves the cover up because they name names.
Just about everything so far this year seems to be a distraction and pitted to have ordinary folk fighting and arguing amongst each other.
What a world for our offspring to grow up in :(
 
I reckon these Epstein files aren’t the most sensitive stuff they have. What they released is just what’s safe for them to show. You often see big names in those files mentioned asking for favors or advice, then getting meetings scheduled, but we never know if they actually happened or what came out of them.

Essentially it seems Epstein acted as a connector or a bridge in those elite circles. Some also reckon that Epstein was creating compromising situations to gain leverage.

Still, all those things look outrageous.

Agree , if thats the filth theyre releasing you can only imagine what's in the stuff thats redacted. One law for rich and powerful pedophiles and one law for every else .

Nobody will ever know all of the things that went on behind close doors. I would say use your imiganation of the horrible crimes but i dont think anyone wants to picture what went on in that island and other places.

At this point is honestly seems like a majority of US politicians are likely pedophiles, sex offenders and criminals.

Funny thing is, they play MR righteous and attack all these other countries for the way they treat their people.

What baffles me about situations like that is the endless videos available online of specifically Indians, who seem to show little or absolutely no reaction to a situation which would instantly be viewed by anyone else as a a high chance of imminent death, should one not react accordingly and promptly.
They seem to just freeze when confronted with natural disasters. Infact, going by many examples, I'd not be suprised in the above vid you linked to see a handful of them trying to cross that road regardless of what is happening to it, if it were in India. If one had a Honda 50cc moped, in India, he'd of probably got someone to hold his beer (and phone) while attempting to jump over it.

And lets not even begin to get into the endless amount of horrifically insane stuff that happens daily with the people walking alongside trian tracks with their backs to the train, or hanging on the side of trains. I just don't get it.

I think Iran has more missiles than the US bases in the region and Israel do, but its main problem is air defense. So if things go nuts and a fight is inevitable, they should hit US and Israeli control points hard and first. Otherwise, they’re done.
