Sometimes I play poker, today I noticed that Unibet changes software. I also received 10€ to try their new software.

I don't know a damn thing about their new software, I used their old one (MGS) from time to time. :)

Shameful display by Unibet

I've received that email as well, and was quite pissed after finding out the conditions of this offer. I removed the software again after 2 hours of play, and send an email to customer support to show my disappointment. As a player who deposited and lost more than 5,000 euros over the past months, I expect an offer not be as insulting as this.

Sure, Unibet isn't obligated to give out these offers but IMO no offer is still better than this. At least I wouldn't have felt insulted.

The bottom line is the 10 euros can be used only at:

*0.02/0.04 Cash game tables with max buy-in of 2 euros.
* No multi-tabling possible for this free bonus nor Fast-Poker.
* The bonus nor winnings can't be used for other type of poker games or other games until the WR have been fulfilled.
* The Wagering Requirements is 2500 flops.
* WR must be done within 6 days.

I managed to double my bankroll to a bit more than 20 euros and gave it up by uninstalling the software again after finding out these terms, which were NOT MENTIONED in the email.
I been able to play 53 hands in 2 hours of play, because it seems to be much slower than the previous version. I guess players have to get used to it first.

But on a normal average of maybe 50 hands per hour, you'd have to play 50 hours of poker (Full-Time) to meet those wagering requirements. All of this to clear a lousy 10 euros? Unibet has a great Casino Rewards program, but a big company like them can't be serious with such an offer. I would feel deeply ashamed if I was working at Unibet and I had to put my customers to this type of effort.

I guess it all makes sense in the end to earn back the free gift or even more based on rake generated of those 2500 hands.

I had a response from Unibet regarding my email about the terms. They said the playthrough requirements have been adjusted to a reasonable amount from 2500 flops to 750 flops.

The offer is only valid for UK, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Belgian players. Regarding the expiration date, they told me that they implement a rolling expiration date. This means if you play poker at least once every 7 days, then the expiration date will automatically be reseted to 7 days. So you don't have to play all those flops within 7 days.

The new poker client doesn't seem attached to Microgaming no longer though as far I know. I see way less players on the platform, and I believe 32Red for instance still uses the same Microgaming poker platform.

I've already played like 300 flops and turned 10 euros into 40, still have 450 flops to go and am sure I'll make a decent profit. The competition at the lowest stake isn't that amazing of course:thumbsup:

Loads of overlays in the tournaments, but software needs a lot of work, doesn't even have 4 colour deck!

Lol I don't mind the deck colors. I do notice losing connection too many times, and it's definitely not my provider's error. Also is there no hand replayer available?

Can't seem to be able to find it:confused:

From what I have gathered this poker client is completely exclusive for Unibet... Can someone confirm this? Must be much less players now.

I definitely think so, since the Microgaming poker platform would usually have 4500 players online at this time. Not sure how much there are now, but there are less at the higher stakes.

0.02/0.04 - 355 players (Mainly because of the 10 euro freebie I'm guessin)
0.05/0.10 - 68 players
0.10/0.25 - 57 players
0.25/0.50 - 50 players
0.50/1 - 39 players
1/2 - 0 players
2/4 - 3 players

That's it as far cash games concerned, there are no higher stakes than this available. I guess the platform needs some time to grow.

And they are already the 18th biggest poker site in the world, which i don't understand with this terrible poker platform. But i guess the recreational players don't really care so much, so grats to them.

You have to think the other way around, this might be a great place for some of the better players when there are so many low skilled players there.

I fully understand this point of view, but that is not based on how the poker software is. The software they bought is full of bugs and flaws, which brings the overall poker playing "enjoyment" to an absolute minimum compared to other rooms. I can live with smaller rewards and all the other "important" stuff to have a few fish floating around on all stakes, but when it is impossible to play decent poker because of a terrible platform i don't understand how their players would want to stay.

For the recreational player protection, i believe that they are doing the right thing and are way ahead of many of their competitors.Unfortunately for me it doesn't make up for the bad platform. Hopefully in the future the bugs will be fixed and my buttons won't disappear in the middle of a hand
