Ok I won a competition at midaur 2nd place £250 woohoo I thought, but it turns out to get this you have wager real money to covert that £250 into real money. You need 8750 points which is in effect £8750 as I understand it, but the wagering doesn’t work like on the sites, it’s one point for every £1 wagered, so if I won £50 off 1 spin that wouldn’t be 50 points it would just 1! I think this is so far weighted against me it’s a waste of time, even if you just started off with £250 prize you had won to wager with that would be something but you don’t, anyone else have an opinion?

that seems ridiculous . You had to use real money in the first place to come 2nd in the competition ?

you'll probs have to stick the t&c of the comp into this thread .

Yeah I used real money in the competition

if you can find the t&c of that particular competition it will be of help . It really does pay to read them when it comes to online casinos and slots . IF it was stipulated in there that you had to then wager 35 x your 'prize' with real money deposited funds before getting the 'prize' - then whilst its an absolute steaming pile of **** competition - they will continue to beat you over the head with the ' it was stated in the terms and conditions'.

not saying it is fair or right - or even this is what is happening - but it wouldn't surprise me .

That's a pretty common situation at many casinos. Some will give cash to first and bonuses to the rest. Some just bonuses for everyone. A few are still pure cash with no restriction or 1x wagering. You need to check the terms first.

That also is how wagering requirements usually work at most casinos, it's based off money wagered, not money won (even if the competition itself is based on money won).

Your $250 prize is really only worth like $100 - and you'll most likely lose meeting the wagering requirement. It's just a big gamble chip as a prize. Unfortunately these days, as I said above, you always need to check the terms if you don't want to be in for a surprise. I know that's not fun, but that's the way it is.

Atleast you'll get free play time and if you're lucky you might convert it to real money. That's how I see no deposit bonuses.

But yeah, the fact you have wagered real money to come 2nd in the competition stings. I hope you meet the wagering and get out more than you put in, or atleast break even

i think you misunderstood . the OP is saying they don't get their 'prize' to even wager . they have to wager even more real cash first . donkey-stick-stick-stick-stick-stick- picture of potential carrot - bit more stick .

If what you said is true, I misunderstood as well, and that's quite an awful prize. I don't think I've ever seen it done that way.

I have a different issue with Midaur, but as you've tagged them l will add it here ...

I'm getting an email almost every day off them even though I've excluded my account, and unsubscribed (and it tells me I have when I continue to try and unsubscribe).

I've marked the email as spam now and reported them to the relevant authorities.

Oh wow, you're right... Afterwager bonuses shouldn't be given as a price in a tournament, that's vile.

Yeah I was quite disappointed to find my £250 prize was locked until I wagered £8750, I got to 2000 points the other day but won £240 off bonanza so reasoned it wasn’t worth chasing the wagering and cashed out taking a week timeout. I still will have 5 days tho to make the cash out lol

Dear all,

We sincerely apologise for any negative experience some of you may have had with Midaur. We would like to take the opportunity to explain ourselves here.

All of the feedback we receive is thoroughly reviewed, and used to provide our players with an even better experience. As we are regulated by the UK GC and the Isle of Man GSC, we pride ourselves for being clear and honest. In regards to our bonus terms and conditions, we invested a lot of time and effort in writing these to ensure that they are clear as possible.

By having players claim any of our bonuses manually, this gives them an overview to the bonus T&C’s; our aim of this is to ensure that our players understand how the bonus works. We will definitely review this again if this is not clear enough for our players.

We’d also like to mention that our competition prizes differs; we sometimes give out real money cash prize as well as bonus money – the prizes/prize types are always stated in our bonus T&C’s, our newsletters and in the competition itself. Of course, you do not have to take part in the competition if the prizes are no good for you.

At Midaur, you are always given the option to play with your real money or bonus funds. The advantage of this is that you will be able to withdraw any winnings resulting from these real money bets immediately, as opposed to a scenario where you would start playing using your bonus balance first and therefore would need to meet the wagering requirements before you can withdraw any of your winnings.

At Midaur, you can always withdraw your real money at any given time without having to forfeit your bonus funds.

The reason why the bonus funds and any winnings from the bonus funds can only be released with real money bets is to protect us against fraud. We often see that players with relatively high bonus winnings deposit a cash amount that is much lower than the amount of those bonus winnings, but are still able to meet the wagering requirements with real money to able to withdraw their bonus winnings along with their real money balance. Any bonus system needs to find the right balance between protecting the brand from fraud and allowing the players a chance to win real money with their bonus and still be able to realistically release and withdraw the funds; we believe that our system provides our players with this opportunity.

I hope the above explains our terms and perspective.

Please do contact us via support@midaur.com if you have any further queries or suggestions – we are always welcome to any feedback you may have.

I don’t feel that should be discussed on a public forum, regarding specific account details, you should really have PM’d Trance, I wouldn’t like my account specifics posted on here.

Hmmm... tm didn't mention his account details. Yes you may have found an account on your system with the same name, but is it the same person? (Admittedly it's probable that it is, but I agree with Rob / JGSlots - always best to discuss with the person via PM (as most other Reps do). Tm also said he'd excluded & a click-through on your mailers confirmed this, but the account you've just reviewed said he wasn't excluded. That alone should be a trigger to confirm details first before acting(?)).

Just my 2c

Well to be fair you've misunderstood my issue... Or I didn't make it clear.

GamStop does say you will still get emails so that wasn't the issue. The problem with Midaur is that I always click unsubscribe in the emails and I have never been unsubscribed. That was my issue. There is an unsubscribe link that doesn't work...
