The UKGC have published the first major review of their Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards (RTS) since it was written in 2007. It is a consultation so have your say:

Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards

The Commission is consulting on changes to its Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards (RTS). The consultation marks the first full review of the RTS since it was first published in July 2007. It follows the publication of the updated Testing strategy for compliance with remote gambling and software technical standards in May 2016.

The technical standards set out the key regulatory requirements to ensure fairness and transparency of remote gambling.

The consultation seeks to ensure consumers are provided with sufficient information to gamble responsibly whilst delivering an effective and proportionate regulatory framework. This is achieved through the proposed introduction of new standards (eg use of third party software, live dealer standards and virtual sports betting) and reinforcement of existing requirements (eg displaying of transactions and financial limits).

The consultation provides an opportunity for you to comment on the proposed changes and to make any other suggestions, including on future revisions of the guidance.

We intend to hold a couple of teleconferences/workshops in early December to respond to specific queries concerning the draft proposals. For further details please email consultation@gamblingcommission.gov.uk

The closing date for responses is 17 January 2017.

This is where CM members can HELP and then maybe stop some of the future whinges.

Get onto them and I'd suggest (I already have an official complaint in here):

1. Abolish pending periods - all deposits are final, so should be withdrawals. This is a decent RG tool too.

2. co-licensees MUST be disclosed at sign-up point for a casino, as well as in terms.

3. ALL RG tools must be instant and fully automated without going through a third-party like chat and e-mail.

4. Raging Rhino MUST be set to 125% when dunover plays it at any UKGC-licensed casino.

OK, maybe not the last but I think it's high time the first 3 were dealt with, and they wouldn't affect the decent sites anyway who already do those things
