UKGC is considering whether to ban the use of credit cards for gambling stating people should only gamble with money they actually have.

It is currently only a proposal and the UKGC want to explore the option before making a decision in case it encourages the use of payday loans.

Out of the 9 million people who gamble online in the UK 10-20% use a credit card.

and I wonder how they affect pre paid cards, seeing as those ARE money you have

The maximum stake on “slots games”, like traditional fruit machine games, should be £2, it said.

So much for praying for those life changing wins

Whens the pushback from the gaming companies going to start? Never seen an industry put with so little fight in it.

More pompous virtue signalling BS nannying from the twattos at the UKGC. This of course all ties in with eventually telling everyone based on merit whether they're permitted to gamble, and of course as mentioned, there are numerous ways around it, so it's all a complete waste of time.

They're trying so hard to tie everything into a neat little bow. Does it matter if it's my money on credit or otherwise, it's mine to spend how I see fit.

Bunch of do-gooder bellends
