Trada Casino: Dealer Blackjack on doubled-down hand

Hey all, not sure if this is standard in the rules for Trada Casino. But I was playing Live Blackjack and had 11 vs Dealer upcard of 10 (dealer draws both cards at start), I doubled down, but lost when the dealer showed hidden card Ace for Blackjack.

It was weird because in the rules.. it states "When the dealer does not have Blackjack upon checking his/her two initial cards, players are given the chance to improve the values of their hands in turn", so I assumed it to mean that the dealer checks before players draw cards.

How did the dealer not immediately show the blackjack? Was this a system error or human error? I have the game logs which clearly shows dealer BJ vs my double down. Furthermore, I doubled in that hand, isn't the usual rule that doubles are returned on dealer blackjack (in fact the situation should not even happen as dealer BJ should have been immediately shown)?

Could anyone tell me if I should lodge a complaint regarding this issue (dealer not immediately showing blackjack) and my double down? I was playing 500/h so it is a considerable amount.

Btw I was playing Evolution Gaming's Blackjack Silver table if that is helpful!

This actually happened to me on evolution gaming too a couple months ago. But I didnt know the rules so i didnt question it. But I did think it wasnt right. Nobody else said anything either so I figured it was normal

As i understand it, if the dealers first card is an Ace then if he has Blackjack he will declare it before the game commences - after offering insurance. HOWEVER if he has a ten or picture card it will not be checked until its the dealers turn after everyone else has had their turn. So then his second card could be an Ace !

Not all Blackjack Rules are the same at Live Casino providers, so what you necessarily think is standard may not be depending on who is supplying the game.

Evolution Dealers will only check for BJ if the up card is an ACE.

As for Doubles being returned on dealer blackjack the only supplier offering something close is Playtech who will return half your stake when you double on a dealer 10 and he then gets BJ.

Blackjack is my game of choice, it's surprising what's on offer. For example Ezugi will return Split bets if the dealer gets a BJ.

Hmm, if that is the case the "game rules" stated on the page are kind of misleading, as it specifically states in the double-split section: If the dealer does not have BJ after checking his initial two cards... then the player is able to act.

And also! Thanks for the recommendation! I haven't seen playtech casinos around in some time though, it's mostly netbet or evolution for some reason. And I've literally never seen Ezugi, any recommendations on good casinos to play those?
