Things that really annoy me with certain casinos

Just a few things that have begun to annoy me over the years:

1. Ridiculous reverse withdrawal time-scales (or, if I'm honest, the ability to RW at all)

Much as most operators will say it's a "service" or a "benefit" to be able to RW funds, I can see no other reason for it than to entice a certain type of punter into playing (and losing) their winnings.
Firms that offer it until the end of the current day (such as William Hill) aren't too bad as this doesn't delay the withdrawal but a 3 or 4 day reverse period is a joke and reflects very badly on the specific operator imho.

2. When you open a new slot and the stake is defaulted to max

WHY?

Who plays £250 a spin?

Surely this is only there to catch players out. Read a few horror stories on here about players accidentally playing a grand off in four spins (or similar) albeit with one instance where the money was refunded.
This "setting" can only be there to benefit the casino. All slots should default to min stake when first opened and last stake thereafter as standard. I can't think of a single reason why this shouldn't be mandatory.

3. The little "Deposit Now" box that pops up on certain sites when your balance is < £1

This really only applies to weak-willed players (like myself :( ) but it does encourage loss chasing and that can't be good. Another "feature" that I think should be banned.

4. Casinos only asking for identification if you win

The main (initial) requirement for I.D is there to ensure that players are of legal age. The amount of casinos I've used for the first time where they let you freely deposit and play without a sniff of asking for the relevant I.D is silly. Only when (if) you win do you get the email stating their I.D requirements. Rarely an email if you lose.
I believe that the facility to upload I.D documents should be included on the sign up page of all casinos.

Just a few thoughts. I'd be interested to hear if people agree and if they can add any more.

I agree with your peeves. I will only add 2 that relate to weekend operations:

1. Casinos that have no supervisor or admin accessible on weekends.
2. Casinos that only have Cashiers working Monday - Friday. Your employees and staff gotta have a break? Fine! Hire more people for odd hours and weekends! (Imagine playing in a land based casino on a Saturday night. The weekend is when almost any and all casinos are at their busiest. You go up to the cashier cage with a handful of cashout tickets to cash because there's a problem with the ticket machines... and 'Sorry! You'll just have to leave them with me or come back on Monday when Cashiers are on duty.')

Absolutely. No need for this, it stinks, and it's my first criteria when selecting an accredited casino.

Yes, indeed. I once got caught out on MG Isis playing £40 for my first spin like someone else I read on here a while back. Fortunately I noticed my balance had fallen down from 100 to 60 and immediately checked. When you open a new slot your first spin always yields nothing, I've noticed. TSII opens at £3.00. Wagerworks open at minimum usually, Playtech don't. BEWARE.

Yes, another MG special when you've just joined and are playing off the dregs of your first deposit.

It is on the banking page of many sites. I can understand them doing it after winning rather than before, but it's a good test of a new casino to do it first BEFORE playing, to see them approved and how long it takes. The quicker they approve reflects on their CS and then the quicker you can deposit.

Couldn't agree more!

The lack of Live Chat at off peak times is a pain although I suppose you could regard LC as a bit of a luxury.
