But on a more serious note, i often thought, why would any country want to bring in these doctors and engineers? If i were running a country, I would only take in usefull people who bring a benefit (like a business plan) or are at least ready to work.

I don't see a logical reason otherwise, especially if these engineers with different traditions, culture, and religion come to my country to mess up things that were built and formed over hundreds of years. A country eventually has only its name left.
