You could just say, hey it's the same website, the same people behind each , the same Will Hill.

But it's not.

Williamhillpoker is just a pure skin of Titan Poker - whereas poker.williamhill is the good one ! ; same thing between casino.williamhill and williamhillcasino .

Be careful so - it seems that the William Hill "merger" into playtech has made some very misleading casino (and poker) skins names...

Roulette Tables

Hiya: I used to play here many years ago when they allowed US players. My brother in law in the Philippines plays here. I have a ? They used to have 2 different selections for their Roulette Tables. Private, and Public. On Public Tables, you could play together with others, or friends if you wanted. Do they still have this feature? Thanks.

Same company, same people.
the poker.williamhill & casino.williamhill goes to affiliates.williamhill.com/
the others point to cpays.com

but they are all the same now :)

That's weird....both of the installers are virtually the same in regards to the graphics presented in the installer, but there's like a 3K difference in file sizes...

One might be the "special" variant for us "evil" UK bonus abusing, cheating, multi-accounting, players:rolleyes:

The "Dog's breakfast" theory is that one is the now obsolete former casinos and poker skins, Crypto and Cpays, whereas one is the brand new William Hill online variant of Playtech casinos and poker skins (not sure what network, I don't play poker).

As far as I know the Crypto software has this (definitely) but Playtech does not.
So if you (your brother-in-law) can still log in to Will Hills Crypto casino, then yes.
If not, tell him to sign-up at Intercasino - they do it!

I just hope there's still some Crypto casinos left by the time USA residents get their personal freedom back...
:(

my experience

Hi all, just wanted to post my experience as I had read this thread a few days AFTER depositing and winning at Will Hill, and as I waited for my cashout I got a bit nervous.. but..

Cashed out on a sunday, it was in the waiting state till friday when it was processed. Got the cheque (cashed out by bank draft) in a week. I'm in Canada and the cheque was issued by a Canadian bank, so I expect it'll go through quickly! :D I played again a week later and managed to cash out again, this time for a bit larger sum playing megajacks :D (Didn't hit the Royal (which was over $4000!!) but did well nonetheless!)

Anyway, I just wanted to give you my experience. The support has been quite good, although a bit out of it (they kept confusing pending and waiting, two different states for the withdrawal) but they were friendly enough!

Cheers

Delts

Just seen this thread.

The reason that there are 2 William Hill Casino and Poker sites is as follows.

When Playtech and William Hill launched a Joint Venture back in September, one of the agreements was for the new company to move the old William Hill off of the Cryptologic platform and onto the Playtech platform. As William Hill had an existing contract with Crypto, the new Playtech William Hill was launched through William Hill Online until the Cryptologic contract ran out. When the Cryptologic contract does expire then all players will be moved onto the new Playtech platform.

Its just an overlap whilst the Crypto contract ends.

Hope that makes sense :)

wondering why WilliamHill as a reputable company also puts a 9k monthly cashout limit in place (which also applies to progressive Jackpot Wins). Makes virtually no sense anymore then to play Gold Rally & Co, when you don't get your win in 10 years or longer.

Thought, WHill is handling that as Bet365, which uses the same software. Bet365 cashes out in a lump sum, no limits apply. Seems, bet365 is here the better choice for higher betting players.

My guess is that it has to do with financial regulations, eg money laundering stuff. 10k is the limit at which point banks are obligated to file additional paperwork, and structuring transfers to be near that limit but not exceed it is illegal. By having a 9k limit per month they can try and keep their transactions under the radar, and also make it less likely that money launderers will use their casino for nefarious purposes.

If it's just an overlap, why is it that William Hill support refuse to assist with any problems related to the Playtech Casino. They insist it is a seperate entity....

I am a long time William Hill member, but since receiving the standard CPAys treatment at the new Playtech Casino and being brushed aside by William Hill support, I'm never going to make another deposit at any site with the name William Hill on it.

Thank you for your email.

William Hill Casino club is a completely separate entity at this moment in time and as such we are unable to step in, or deal with any queries relating to the Poker & Casino Club products and they must be contacted directly on the details previously provided to yourself.

I too am a long standing member at the Crypto. Why are you constantly spamming everyone about once a day for all these different casinos you now own? It is ludicrous. Why trash your own brand on a daily basis with this absurd spam? I can't see many of your players moving over to Playtech unless this spam stops. I am getting it directly from WH and also affiliates and it is getting out of hand.

Same here. The old Cpays casinos were regularly spammed, and I would have expected William Hill Online to "clean up" the old Cpays rogue method of marketing and treatment of players. What has ACTUALLY happened is an INCREASE in spam, mostly for "privilege casino", but now adding William Hill (Playtech) into the spammed brands. Alongside this, there are the GENUINE emails based on my membership of the Crypto casinos imploring me to try the new Playtech one, which HATES British players (see terms & conditions). When William Hill online decides to comply with EU rules, and treat UK players to the SAME terms of CONSUMER CONTRACT as the rest of the EU (a legal requirement within the EU - see what happened when iTunes tried it on), I will consider the Playtech version worthy of consideration.

I was told that the Crypto version had already closed, yet it seems that months on, it is still lingering. WHY did William Hill themselves tell their player base the Crypto casino would close last year, when they KNEW they were bound by contract to keep it running into the early summer of 2009? I found even the worsened terms from 2008 in the Crypto version were a HELL of a lot better than the terms in the new Playtech version.

Perhaps the fact they are STILL being run as separate entities explains why the old Cpays culture of roguery still pervades the brand.
