The Rise of Curacao/Anjouan Casinos and Ridiculous Withdrawal Limits

Lately, I’ve noticed a huge surge in casinos licensed under Curacao or Anjouan. Honestly, the terms they impose are absolutely crazy. Some casinos take 3-5 days just to verify a player, and then there are the ridiculous weekly withdrawal limits—sometimes as low as €500.

If you think back a few years, I can barely recall any casino having rules this strict. These limits are completely insane. For example, I play €5–€10 bets, and hitting a 100x win on a slot could easily take two weeks or more just to cash out.

It feels like the industry is moving in a really bad direction. I’m curious if others have noticed this trend, and how you deal with these slow verifications and low withdrawal caps.

Am I the only one seeing a simple solution to all that?
I can answer for myself.

Yes, basically just have to ignore playing on these casinos. But personally, I play on them because they are pretty much the only ones that offer Amatic games. I can’t find these games on either Swedish casinos or MGA casino

Sadly it’s not a simple solution. It’s regulated casinos with their insistence on doing your financial planning for you, and their offer of gimped RTPs vs offshore unregulated casinos with risks around receiving withdrawals, potentially rigged slots, but max RTP and larger game selections (and access to bonus buys, auto and quick spins - if that’s your bag).

You can do some research to limit the impacts of going offshore (although nowhere near fail safe). And as I always say - it all depends on your exposure. If you play min stakes like me then you have a lot less to lose.

Once I ventured outside accreddited casinos the issues started. It just goes to show how important a vetting system is.

I played on SpinLander. Had $111 sitting there. I got busy and didnt bother providing ID for that amount. Maybe use it on a rainy day. Last week I got an email "The manager has decided to take your $111. You have not verified your account with us and we can take funds at our discretion".

Im not kidding. This is from a highly rated casino elsewhere.

If you wander outside casinomeister. You are not protected. The forums and casinos are slum lords.
