I just typed two long paragraphs on this and then my computer....just sucks.

Anyway, I bought one (the one with the AT&T one time 3G wifi fee of $50).

It looks pretty cool.:D

(I went into more detail about it but it sucked the hell out of me losing all the info)

I am obviously going to read more than gamble:thumbsup::mad::(:) (mix of emotions here;)) but it will be so much cheaper.

Anyone else bought an e-reader and if so , what did you buy?

Thanks, SlotMonster,

Yes, although I researched before buying The Nook, it all came down to price and the ability to read 'anywhere, where AT&T is available' ;) I like the 'matt' screen, no glare but you have to use a night light to read in the dark.....which is not a problem as glare IS a problem during the day time.
The Nook, you can download a free book every Friday, from B&N and have a free read. I have, not as yet, bought a book yet.

With The Nook , one can read an hour free with B&N wifi, which is cool! Much like sitting in B&N and reading a whole book for as long as you want, though! lol....although you can take your e-reader into the B&N bathroom and not do a 'George';).

I am not technical minded but I do appreciate your feedback!

Well, with Kindle Wi-Fi you can browse Internet anywhere where it's a free Wi-Fi connection. As for the "matt" screen, I would suggest you NOT to read on direct sunlight, because some of customers declared a problems with screens because of it. Try to use Google search or look at MobileRead.com

As for books, in ex-USSR countries (I'm from Belarus) we usually just download ebooks for free from the Internet and read them. You can find any book stored in online libraries, (at least in Russian) or just ask someone to give it to you. I think you can find these libraries in English also.

Sony PRS-650 can be plugged to the PC as USB-drive and I can copy any ebook as file from my PC into it. That's what I usually do, and now I have 125.491 ebooks stored on my PC now. Going to spend hell lot of time reading :D
