I have been a back bench member in here for many years. As a back bencher could I propose a bill that could banish those who are only in here for purely self interest?
It is getting rather obvious now IMO

Perhaps he's referring to VS comp? There's a few posters there that haven't even read the rules but attempted participating anyways, posted from accounts that have one post that year - that post in that thread.

Who cares though? The restrictions on those contests are in place precisely because of that and it'll weed out some. I suggest next year the limit should be raised however so that people don't just post 20 times in year 2019 and go dormant again until Xmas is around the corner.

If it's something else though then I've no idea what OP is talking about.

While the noble member here will always have the floor to propose policy changes, I have a suspicion this proposal would not pass the vote. Even in the case where the frontbenchers and shadow ministers would approve such a vote on the subject. Like Nietzsche would put it:

Self-interest is worth as much as the person who has it: it can be worth a great deal, and it can be unworthy and contemptible.

People always come crawling out of the woodwork when there is huge promo's going on. And never to be seen again until the next holiday. I agree that casino's should raise the amount of posts, but it's up to the casinos, not us. I just jump on VS and JG, because I don't play any where else I must do that pragmatic though, if I can afford to before it runs out.

It should not be raised! This ends in a spam war because everyone wants to get sure to be able to participate then.

I am here reading the posts, I am fine that I can not be part of most promotions. But excluding people because they have not enough posts is not the best way to solve this issue. Maybe there should be something like checking if the person is only online when such a promotion is going on, if yes they can be excluded.

To be fair you have to feel a bit sorry for anyone who licks their lips at the prospect of Xmas coming around every year, just so they can use dormant accounts to maybe win a few pence from promotions.

I can imagine the odd few people on forums talking to each other and suggesting to (in what looks like what Colin is reffering to) sign up here specifically for the VS thread and(and riding a few others ofc). Last years was amazing and must have grabbed some attention.
IMO suspected freeloaders should be forced into restricted access to one thread, the MDT (meister detention centre) where goatwack, dunover and robby perform 1 weeks interrogation followed by an interview with VWM. That would probably make Guantanamo bay look like disney land. No pain no gain.

It’s not excluding....its rewarding the people who participate daily, weekly on this forum. People who post info for others to learn from etc....start posting and you will be able to participate next year....

Yes. I am talking about those who do not seem to be able to think past their nose. It has became quite prevalent this past year. Folk who are only interested in self gain from their participation in Casinomiester and obviously do not even take the time in reading anything else.

Tbh, I do not think it is problem, and I think it is typically for any forum community which is growing. Yes, there are people who come only to take part in contests. Is this is good or bad? I do not know, while casino making contests for regular CM members...But in the end I hope some of such users become more active in other threads too, so everyone of us just will win from this situation.
