The gist of it (Crazy reels)

Hi all, I know, I know, there are several past threads that have touched this same topic but I dont know if any one has ever found out (or if anyone knows) why this happens.
When you are playing a certain slot and say, you get the free spins bonus round, why do the reels start spinning faster and longer then usual. Lately I have noticed this ALOT. And it's always when I'm doing well, po's me cause it messes up my game. For example, while playing today, I was waiting on the free spins at Jellyfish, it always seems that when two of the subs come around then you get the three shortly after. (Most of the time) So, just as it seemed they were coming, the reels start spinning and dont stop when they usually do, then it seems as if the game goes downhill from there. Anyone know anything about this? I know someone said it could be the internet connection but I dont have any other problems so, I dont understand. I remember someone saying that when the casino doesn't like something your doing they will speed them up or slow them down but I dont do anything wrong at all. Any info would be appreciated!! Thx,
Patrina:)

I think what you're referring to was the ability of RTG operators to boot someone who is winning offline so that they can change the settings to favor the house even more.

The games you were playing were at MG... so I would chalk it up to either server load, internet congestion, or it could be that your session was a long one because after a while the MG software gets progressively slower and slower; the only workaround is to close it, wait a second, and re-open the casino software and it will be fast again (provided it's not an issue on the server).

Thanks SlotsWizard, Sometimes the reels will go full tilt and the casino will close, and sometimes when the game gets real slow, I will close and then wait as you suggested, and everything will go back to normal. But this, all of a sudden extended spin, just has got me baffled. It should stop when it is supposed to. I dont like it and I get really poed. Almost knocked my puter off the desk!! (And it takes alot to get me that mad) When this happened today, I was at a reputable casino, and no I wont say who because if it is my connection, they dont deserve any negative posts. But it happened twice at Jellyfish and I changed games, and then it happened again at Thunderstruck but it wasn't as long. Does the casino have access to the spinning of the reels? Couch potato sometimes jumps around? I'll be playing and then when it seems like it will stop on one thing it jumps to something else. Crazy. Anyway after this happened several times and it seemed to affect my game I wanted to find out more. Sometimes when I click the mouse to start a spin, I will get excited or anxious and click several times fast, and I was thinking maybe the casino doesn't like this. It wouldn't effect the outcome of the spin, would it? And then I thought well it probably doesn't affect the game but maybe this is why the reels are going crazy? I dont want to make anyone angry at me and I always play fair. Just want to see if anyone else experiences this kind of thing. Thx

as with real slot machines, the symbols are there for show. once you hit the spin button the outcome for that spin is determined and your fate is sealed. the symbols freezing or going fast or slow have nothing to do with the outcome.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yes I know your fate is sealed once you spin, lol. But I just played again at another casino and the same thing happened again. Jellyfish. Spin, spin, spinning away and during the spinning it doesn't stop as usual. I hope I am explaining myself correctly. The reels spin longer then what they do at a normal spin. When, say the spin goes around for 5 times and stops, sometimes (just now when I played it happened more frequently) it goes for say, 20 times then stops. This is just an example. And, I just played on my daughters computer (Brand spanking new) I have high speed cable right now. So, do you think this is our internet connection? Thx,
Patrina
p.s. So, are you saying that the game is predictable? Instead of round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows it's more like round and round it goes where it stops (it) already knows? Am I making sense?:what:

Sorry if my questions seem a little out there but this has been bugging me for quite a while.

Is anyone else using your internet connection, or is there a program like Limewire, uTorrent, etc., running which could possibly be hogging up your internet connection?

Pretty much... the sequence of events goes something like this:
1. You click spin
2. The reels start spinning
3. Your request is sent to the server
4. The server randomly picks the five reel stops, evaluates the outcome, updates your balance, and sends the results to your computer
5. The casino software on your computer presents the results by stopping the reels one at a time, and then displays your updated balance

The problem you are having is somewhere in between steps 3 and 4.

I can't remember if you've already answered this, but is this happening at all MG casinos or have you only tried just the one?

Hey there, This happens only at MG casinos and has happened at least once with the majority of them. I have at least 10 MG casinos downloaded but really only frequent 4-5 of them. What got me wondering was, I had downloaded a casino from the accredited list and made alot of deposits, small but totalling close to $700. (These deposits were broken up over a period of a few weeks) I had not even come close to winning at this one. And the reels did this crazy spinning thing often. I even emailed this casino to ask about this but never got a reply. The fact that they didn't get back to me didn't really bother me as I figured my question was probably one they have received frequently and I kind of felt weird even asking about it. I tried to see if there was a pattern with this and coincidentally happens alot after I win. But then again this last casino that I have had the horrible luck with, it happens all the time. At first I thought it was from me clicking the mouse too many times at once. I cant pinpoint anything particular. Sometimes when I'm playing and I'm on a losing streak, this will happen and then it changes my luck and I start doing better. So, that's why I had to ask about this. Maybe I'm reading to much into it? My mom plays here to and it happens to her as well but doesn't seem to bother her. This "horrible luck" casino I was talking about, I will deposit $30 and it will be gone in 2-3 mins. Of course this happens, but it seems to happen much too frequently and also when I play at this casino I have stayed with the same game, "Jellyfish" I figured it's got to give sooner or later, after depositing close to $700 you would think I might get a half decent free spins payout but nope, hasn't happened yet. Let me know what you think. I appreciate your input and advice!! Thx,
Patrina:)

p.s. My daughter also is connected, actually I am connected from her modem. We have been using cable but I have decided to change back to Bell. I just received the modem this morning so I am going to change over some time soon, probably today. As far as the Limewire, uTorrent, I'm not sure but my daughter does alot of downloading and other things, she's in a band and is constantly doing one thing or another on the computer so I would have to ask her about this.
