Star watching

Yup it started last night well actually about 3 am my time.. with some very very cool fire balls.

I missed getting the fire balls on tape, but I am sure someone must have... they were so friggen cool, never seen anything like it before.

This time of the year really makes me miss living in an area where there aren't so many city lights as to make it nearly impossible to see anything. When I was a little girl growing up in the mountains, seeing "shooting stars" was a nightly event , especially in August. Home was an area with an inky black sky perfect for one of nature's most spectacular displays.

I envy those of you who were in a good area to observe this beautiful event. As usual, I wasted my time trying to see something over all the city lights of Houston. Poooh. :D

last night was a bust for me.
I went out about 2am... and only saw a few. No more cool fire balls.

LOL - One thing we have in abundance around here is a big empty inky black sky.
