So you're saying that anyone who's not from the uk can sign up at your casino even if they are self excluded from other EM casinos, or are you saying that the rule is for all EM sites? I hope you know that there are people from other countries that have had their accounts closed, and denied their winnings, not just people from the UK.
Are the rules changed in that case on all EM sites because normally there are the same rules no matter where you're from?
So if someone still have wagering to do and only have bonus left on their account when you're closing it will you pay that? Silly question maybe, but you do know that people are betting higher if they have a bonus and are losing their own money first.
I also hope EM won't keep on saying that every player who have self excluded are signing up to a new casino just to abuse the system, even if I'm sure they do exist.
I must say it's refreshing with someone who are willing to talk about these things
Hi, thank you for your questions
What we have been told - and how we have been acted since the launch of Spinson (late Nov 2015) is that all players playing under the LGA license - so the European License, self exclude themselves from the Casino and not the License, something that has been approved by the LGA since it was unfair to ask the players to keep track of which casino is connected to which license.
For UK players under the UK Gambling Commission however they took another stand on things - saying that a player blocks themselves from the License and not just the single operator they are closing down under.
So for a non UK player coming to us - we are as any stand alone casino and we can and will not blame on any Self Exclusion to not pay for winnings - it is gambling, if you win you win if you lose you lose but hopefully you will have a good time, with fun games and friendly customer support that can help.
For UK players coming to us - we have a policy at Spinson to always pay back the balance of the players account - BUT our T&C do say that we have the right to keep the money, the T&C for UK is written by the licensee holder - so it is the same for all brands using the license, and we think it is a pretty unfair rule. The T&C for UK says
"...Should you self-exclude from at least one of the websites managed and operated by us and afterwards, during the applicable self-exclusion period, succeed in opening an account, depositing and playing on another website managed by us, your deposited amounts and your subsequent winnings, if any, shall be forfeited by you, retained by us and you agree to waive any and all claims relating to the respective amounts"
How we want to treat it is like this
"Should you self-exclude from at least one of the websites managed and operated by us and afterwards, during the applicable self-exclusion period, succeed in opening an account, depositing and playing on another website managed by us, your remaining balance of the closed account will be returned to you. No deposited amounts will be refunded if wagered and lost, and any remaining bonus will be voided"
So for your other question - if they have a bonus active that will not be included in the return of the balance. That situation has however not occurred, so it could of course be good to have a clearer set of rules for that situation. So will take that question and pass it on upwards and come back with a answer to it.
How other EM sites are treating their players and interpret how the T&C should be read and used (even though T&C should not have any lea ways for your own interpretations) we at Spinson can not answer for.
One reason we joined here is to talk for our cases and how we treat our members, and I mentioned in another post that I hope players will judge us for what we do and not for what others have done.
Regards
Kim
