Awhile back I started getting tons of spam from this affiliate winnerpromos. I was getting hit with probably 10 per day with lots of them being for casinos that are accredited here. First I used the unsubscribe link and it said my email was removed from the list, then the next day I'd get the mails back again. I tried unsubbing again, same thing.
After the 3rd time I gave up and I started reporting them to the aff programs at River Belle and VPL, but I never heard back and the spams kept coming, except now they have a big 'we're compliant with can-spam' etc link at the bottom but when you click on it, it says 'your email isn't in our database.'
So after I got sick of it, I contacted Cobus and told him about it, he asked me to forward the mail directly to him. So I forwarded a couple and he never got them. I sent a couple as an attachment, he never got them. He gave me his personal mail to forward it to, and the same bloody thing. It seems that it's my mail that's now being blocked as spam because I've got this attached file or this spammity spam spam spammers junk in it.
sigh...
Finally I copy the mail and send it to Cobus through PM, he says he'll deal with it. I went for 3 days without getting spam and then it started again. Same guy, different domain. I told Cobus he said he'll deal with it. Then a few days later, another domain. Then back to the first one. And now a bloody 'nother one. lol - I haven't talked to Cobus for a few days so not sure what's going on behind the scenes, but I'm still getting the mails.
So then I contacted the VPL rep and he gave me a mail to try forwarding one of these spams too. I don't know if it's going to go through or if I'm going to have to go through the same thing trying to forward the mails and having them blocked.
This person is like the Palace Group spammer - I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy. He's filling my inbox marking all these messages HIGH priority. They're all being flagged as spam by my ISP, but I can't have them automatically deleted because sometimes stuff that's NOT spam gets flagged as well. He's shilling for 888, Jackpot Factory, Belle Rock and VPL.
Anyhow, I'm sure that the reps will deal with it eventually, but it's frustrating that it seems that any spams I've been trying to report lately aren't even making it to their destination. I'm wondering if anyone else has reported this guy and are still getting spammed? I remember seeing a thread awhile back but now I can't find it.
And does anyone have any advice on how to forward a spam message without YOUR message being blocked as spam...?
