ok, some slots ply smooth as anything, no problems on them ever, however, mainly netent ones are a nightmare.
A few spring to mind are Gun n Roses. Tried to play a battle on there, started at the first minute, was on 24 pins to go 90 minutes later when it end. The new wardlords on, left it on autospin for 100 spins, went out to the shop, came back 45 mins, 74 spins left. Weirdly I got a free spins and they actually went faster than the base game. There are loads like it.

But things like Jimi Hendrix work fine, HTML5 upgrades work fine, doA for example plays exactly the same as I see in videos posted here.

Chrome, firefox, IE (ughh) all are up to date but all play the same. Same on every casino. Haven't been able to take part in the VS mini battles this weekend, tried one and didn't get through the 30 spins in time, in fact think I did 4.

The fact its the same on so many different browsers make me its the pc hardware. It is old, think I bought it in 2005, core 2 duo 4300, integrated graphics, does have 4GB RAM in, graphics is Radeon X1300/1500 which I think it likely to be the culprit, what does anyone else think, any suggestions to what else it might be? 76MB internet so not speeds. Any help will be good before I spend money on bits as a 'guess' to what I might need to upgrade.

And yes I know its time I upgraded but I know it backwards and the work to transfer everything over has put me off for about 6 years now :D

Well it does rather point towards the hardware, so you've answered your own question! Your PC sounds about four generations out of date, so perhaps it's feeling the heat.

My laptop was the bomb once but it's approaching four years old, so I'll be needing to upgrade soon myself.

Don't fret about transferring all those files.....

you can build up your collection of porn quite quickly these days :eek::eek:

Guns and roses froze on me in the battle last night.
When I reloaded it, it was just the background, no reels were showing but it was still doing my spins and wins were counting.
On the gonzo battle last night, I had to reload it 4 times during play.
I just put it down to the weekend warlord battles.
Videoslots is always worse at the weekend.
And I was using chrome, would have been even worse on firefox

No offense Colin, but your hardware counts as 'ancient' for this fast changing world. Slots like GnR, WCoP, Motorhead are extremly graphics and animation intensive, which your card can't handle, especially when it is onboard. As for the other specs, they are not that bad for normal use. JH might run better because it has no side graphics/animations.

My laptop is now 3 years old and never broke a sweat with any games until now but playing WCoP battles at VS this weekend made me hear the cooling for the first time ever and i could feel it slightly heating up. Getting a new one this week.

Yeah exactly I always buy big desktop computer with physical real video card like ATI R9 390 or if you want Geforce if you pay more. This works well on most across all slots including 3D games for gaming on steam games. Even handle my 4K monitor perfectly well so far. I am considering upgrade to Geforce 1080 soon. I have i7 3770K and still run well since. I pay a lot for it but this worth the money if I future proof it.

Thanks for all the replies

Oh yes, I know its ancient, and I certainly can't complain about the use I've had out if it, and its perfectly fine for everyday use, can even decode video, use photoshop etc without any major slowdown.

I just find it strange that netent in particular are making slots that older hardware struggle with, surely its in their interest to make the games as light as possible so as many people as possible can play the games. You shouldn't need an i7, 16GB RAM and a £300 graphics card to play 20p spins on an online slot :D

The only other one I have any major problem with is a few of the games on Coral. Dragons Rising is one thats very slow.

I get problems on my mobile too, a lot of new netent games either flicker constantly, or just turn into a blank screen. Now my mobile is a p8 lite, I would have thought that should really be able to handle most slots.

I'll probably chuck a cheap graphics card into my PC short term and see if that improves things at all.

I don't think it really matters, to be honest. Try running a NetBent or MG slot in the background same time as you're watching a YouTube vid or whatever, you soon get the "Not responding" message pop up after 20 minutes or so.... luck of the draw really. Run a casino window with nothing else going on you'll likely be ok 99/100 times but think of background tasks and it's "bye bye".
