Not sure if this was already known? Got an email through 15 mins ago in relation to a mega old excluded account. So still a lot of unanswered questions on what went on with the UKGC which will never be answered.

Announcement: MaxEnt Ltd withdrawing from UK Market
After careful consideration and internal discussion, we regret to inform you that MaxEnt Ltd has taken the decision to close its operations towards the UK market for strategic business reasons, with an official exit scheduled for the 2nd of January 2020. This will officially end 6 years of service we’ve enjoyed providing to our dedicated UK player base.

This has not been an easy decision for us to take and it is one we are taking with a heavy heart yet, we do feel that it is the correct one. The uncertainty that this market currently holds for us, particularly due to recent political events has convinced us to go forward with this decision, which is one we have been considering for some time now. We would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of our clients from the United Kingdom for their loyalty over the years. We hope that you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as we’ve enjoyed providing it, and we wish you the absolute best going forward. Always remember to gamble responsibly. Please read on to see the exit timeline and how it may affect your account.

Nothing to do with losing your license then?

Good. Selling or leaking customer details to spammers means they deserve everything they get.
Dodgy owners, and obviously all the claims on here were correct.

Well, they appealed the decision and that was marked on their licence on 18th June 2019.

I guess, the appeal was not successful or they did not bother to prove that the GC's assertions were wrong. The GC had an issue particularly with the source of funds they used to acquire NRR Entertainment.

We can only guess, but I would venture to say that we were not really wrong in our assertions.

Exactly. I would surmise from what went on here, they refused to give the information to the UKGC that they said they had.
Wonder if they threaten the UKGC with legal action like they did on here, for saying they are dodgy haha.

My guess is that the UK business has just evaporated during the 6 months since their license was first recalled and no one( ie affiliates) have been sending new customers in.

Running a law suit in the UK , against UKGC, is also just a tiny bit more expensive than these guys are used to in Ukraine :lolup:

Please don’t tell me they are members here...
that would mean all CM members have chlamydia
I meant, if you want to know their mind-set, pm or email them; surely, makes for a fuller, better, well-rounded discusion than speculation.
I mean, it's only what, three threads back and we see where speculation got us :D

It got closed before he answered me, and a threat to another member deleted. Then multiple reports to the ASA for advertising in breach of the CAP code. :D I already reported FruitySlots for their breaches in another thread.

so, even better, the person in question use the search function, or a knowing member such as yourself post the relevant link? :D

pm Fruity Slots and ask?

Do I need to? Appears to me the casino games are closed to UK players on the 2nd. They still advertise their sign up links in videos on the 3rd onwards. SV, for some unknown reason, are still allowing sign ups til the end of the month despite the fact the players cant play a single game.

Some more details have been released by the UKGC. Seems their statements on here were pretty misleading

  1. Officials were satisfied as to the adequacy of resources now available to the applicant to fund the business in the future but not as to the source of funds used to acquire and support the business at the time of, and following, the changes of corporate control;
  2. The Commission had no adequate evidence of the source of funds used to acquire and finance the business in 2017 and through 2018;
  3. In a declaration form to another gambling regulator, the applicant failed to identify their previous ownership and management of a casino. This was also omitted from the applicant’s CV provided to the Commission;
  4. Despite a protracted period of correspondence and discussion between the applicant and Commission officials prior to the Panel hearing, further material was produced to the Commission shortly before the hearing;
  5. New, previously undisclosed information was identified during the hearing which required the applicant to provide further material; and
  6. After the provision of this further material, evidence of source of funds remained outstanding. This meant that neither the Licensee nor the applicant had a proper appreciation for the need to be full and frank with the Commission, nor for what the Commission requires to process an application of this kind.
