Not the first, as Kaboo and Betathome have already done this IIRC. It seems that many operators are finding it increasingly tough to service the UK market, yeah we knew that, but margins have been skinned to the bone.

Some casinos offer lower RTP games and retain the UK bonuses, some have done neither yet.

Bonuses, as a viable option for both casino and player, died about 2-3 years ago, when breaking the 40x or so wagering seal, plus 90% of casinos don't offer them anyway.

These days they've become something of a running joke and completely murderous for the player, with ridiculous default WR to go with 'hidden' WR of the games' contribution allowance.

And all bonuses do now is serve to entrap rookie slotters. Good riddance to bad rubbish

Never did I think I would see the day that I would be totally converted from seeking the best available bonus of that day, to totally avoiding them like the plague!

Have not been near a bonus in coming up on 2 years (I think!) and don't miss them one bit*

*Ok I miss the Caddell 100%'s which I beat numerous times and hence got BB'ed not once but twice lol!!

Couldn't agree more, I see bonuses as more of a hindrance than a help these days, sucks the fun out of a session having to read 83 pages of T&Cs before starting to play just to make sure you're not going to break any of the arcane rules.

Much happier on a straight deposit doing my low-rolling at somewhere like Sky Vegas, bonus play I just do at 3Dice these days as their bonuses have (a) Sensible wagering requirements as they're actually 'proper' VIP bonuses (5xD+B WR) and (b) Have no game restrictions at all.

On the flip side, I got a no deposit bonus at Pink the other day. £10 with 99x was wagering.

Got the balance to over £500 on Return Of Kong and met wagering. Hurrah!

Max cash out was £50, sadly. But I knew that before I started, and I’m not turning down a free £50. Withdrawal has been processed today :)

The decent casinos offer higher rtp and bonuses. Scummy casinos lower the RTP without telling customers.

I rarely take bonuses, so getting rid of them will make little difference to me, but if a casino can't afford to offer sporadic 50% deposit bonuses with all the terms attached, then I wouldn't want to play there, as I would worry about them being able to pay me if I had a big win.

As said above, the decent casinos will still be able to make a profit and keep players happy, regardless of the tougher licensing regulations.

Casinos that can't do this have a dodgy business model or are simply being ruled by greed IMO.
