Slots strategies?

Hi all,
I've played slots for a number of years though and been through a lot of highs and lows.

Just wondered what kind of strategies you guys follow?

Do you stick with the same slot after pumping in a lot of money to get something back or do you have a limit and then take the loss and move on?
Do you start upping stakes or stick to same stakes?

Do you play certain slots at certain times of day or is it all random?

I've got a little pot of about £100 at the mo for fun but would love to get this to a bit more but sometimes I just hit a bad slot and lose the lot on the same one. Never sure when to give up on a slot and take the loss and move on!

Thanks for any advice

I don't belive in any strategie on slots, the outcome is dictated by RNG.
Sometimes you can have a game which pays a few huge wins/bonuses in 100 spins, sometimes you need 1400 spins to get a bonus which is then only x25 (check Bonanza)

When i play slots that are super volatile (doa2, lil devil etc) i usually give them max 50x stake.
If they are hot, you usually can get a couple bonuses, or collect a couple hearts for that.
No use grinding those kind of slots when they are not in the mood since it becomes expensive really quick.

Yeah think this has been my downfall in the past where have hit big on those slots and then tried to recreate it and lost a lot. Is there an easy way to check volatility of slots anywhere? Do you guys do much research into slots before playing them?

Once you've played your faves for any length of time you soon get a feel for how they're
performing on any given day, if hot stick around, if not move on..never flog a cold game.

Might try a slot a bit in demo-mode to see a couple bonuses, so i have some idea of what to expect before going in with real money on a new slot.

I believe the best strategy is betting the stake per spin based on your balance. For example, a $100 balance should be played at 20 cent, max 30 cent bet per spin..

Next you'll have to decide on slot volatility, IE high variance slots like DOA or most of the BTG slot lineup that have the potential to rinse your balance clean betting minimum stake with no sniff of a feature or enable you to win huge with an incredible feature. Or chose medium to low variance slots that can give features frequently and attempt to start building your balance to a sizable one to bet a little higher stake per spin.

IMO, a $100 balance should be played at minimum stake spins (20 cents/30 cents max) on medium variance slot games. I would try out some medium variance NETENT games and hope that lady luck is on your side.

The only REAL strategy IMO is building your balance higher and higher to bet bigger and bigger and stick with a balance that if you reach, you will cash-out and not play it back..

Stick to a few games that you know well, if one is dead move onto another, if they are all dead leave it for another day or try a different casino, i played all my favorites at Grosvenor, every one was stone dead,
losses were getting too much so tried a final deposit at Mecca, first game I played gave back 80% of the days
losses so was happy enough with that.Always worth trying new games on release ,positive some are
set to pay for the first few days.

It's easier said than done but my main strategy is to just set a budget and don't chase beyond that.

I might get drawn in by a bonus or a new game but if that initial reason to login is running badly don't be afraid to change games before you lose it all. If you lose the pot then don't chase, at the end of the day we play slots for fun and the chasing losses makes it more stressful than fun!

I always have an idea of when i will stop and withdraw. So if I only have 20 quid to deposit I might decide that I will withdraw if I get to £40 or whatever. Don't laugh, i know its not much! I play small stakes and cant afford too much.
If I end up with say 43 quid after a feature I will use the 3 and stop when i get to 40. If i end up with more than 50 from that extra few quid then 50 will be my new withdrawal threshold and so on. Doesn't happen often but if you're strict with it it works well and stops you crapping your winnings back into the slot.
You can use this mentality with any amount of money too, if you play with hundreds or thousands just set your bar accordingly and stick to it.
