Question Slot Advice...

A friend has asked me for some advice, and I am not totally sure on the answer to be honest..!

They are going to a Lonon land based casino that has IGT and Novo games. They are taking £100 for slots and a couple hundred for tables.

The question is - what would the best strategy be for a big slots win?

Start at 50p/£1 stakes, see if you get a win, increase if you do..

Start at £2, hope for a big hit.

Or just go for 20 £5 spins and dream...

Which do you reckon has the best chance of getting a big win (£250+++)? He is not too bothered about long play time, just results , even if it means leaving with 0!

My take if he not fussed about play time then just go for it. 2 quid spins seems right and then press spin and pray he may hit the big one who knows.

If he was looking for time ... then of course low bets. If he hits something decent he can move to the tables ... )

Personally, I grind away in the beginning at low stakes and once I triple my starting balance, then start moving up in stakes....unless you're looking for a quick in and out and don't care about playing time...then I'd go for the 5+ pound spins and hope for the best If you're doing that, though, I'd only play a slot that offers a large progressive jackpot for max bets. Maybe a 1 liner. Studies show, at least here at some casinos in the USA, that the higher denomination coins you play at a slot, the better the payout % is....

As far as strategy goes, I love to play the slots with stacked wilds. When playing these slots, I play fewer lines, but with more coins/line....sure, you get more dead spins this way, but when you do hit, the wins more than make up for the dead spins, as opposed to betting max lines and winning much less. And to be honest, at least in online play, I haven't really noticed a lot of meaningful line wins that have snuck by on an unplayed line.

One example would be hitting a 1000 coin 5oak line win @ .25/line....you're looking at $250. Now if you were playing max lines @ .05/line, you would only receive $50. You're winning an extra $200, but yet still playing for the same or similar stakes.
