Skybet holding my money nearly 6 years.

Why cant i chase my poundback how comes no one helps here. I know most of you would allow gambling company to keep your balance when you close your account??

What difference would it make if its £1.00,£10.00,£100.00,£1000,£10000. They refused to give my money back.

You seriously have to ask on a (very) public forum?

Sure chase it up in principal but in private,, that been said even Mr skinto (myself) would not chase anything less than say £50ish, just not worth the headache, cost more in co-codamol

Doesn't help the fact that it appears you only joined here to chase a quid which is why you're getting the replies you're getting.

Edit: Just had an alarming thought, with the large volume of casinos I've joined over the years, not to mention the bingo sites previous to those, I'm pretty sure I could scrape £10 together, maybe even £20 with the odd pence here, there and everywhere.

Decided I want it and want it now, can throw a few spins at DoA then before bed, may even get a wild line! :D

Yes but also the self-exclusion failures

As long as you don't say it was £96 or 96p we are happy.

Well it's annoying I understand, but alas the Statute of Limitations in the UK means you cannot effectively pursue this unless they admit the debt to you, even then they wouldn't have to pay it after 6 years, unless they wanted to. If you are within limitation, then you won't have a hope of paying 75 quid for a summons to CC over less than a quid! Vexatious my friend.

It also seems you are suffering gambler's remorse and retrospectively trying to assign blame for what are essentially your own actions. While you have this nonsense in your head, you'll never be free of gambling. Just pretend you had a £1 spin on Bonanza and lost it. Move on mate.

It really isn't worth the stress, or bandwidth.

Its still under 6 years and they sent me email with subject access request that showed my balance

Well if you are obsessing over it, you aren't free from gambling, are you?

You can't expect forum members to spend time assisting with a quid when people join here every day having been duped by scam casinos and lost hundreds, or have not been paid thousands in cash-outs.

Really, this is rather frivolous to say the least.

Bet u can't wait to get hold of the said balance???

Why join skybet in the first place, William hill included, are just tight ass in regard to regulations, put it simply - tight gits:rolleyes:

You can't make difference to £1 and £100 000? Regulations can when it comes to casino operators obligations to refund balances from self-excluded accounts.

They gave you 24h cool off period which is enough after you have asked your account to be opened, there's no exact steps in regulation what would need to be followed when re-opening account which they would have failed to do or can you point where you referring?

There are certain amounts which smaller operators do not have to refund automatically (yes, believe or not, they are not obligated to do it for every £0.08 etc.. balances) after player self-exclusion. If you write them email, provide your banking details and full KYC documents they should pay your balance that you can buy something nice for summer.

Main problem was self exclusion failure why is everyone obsessiving with the pound
In all honesty and with the release of star clusters at one of the brands not many folks here know going forward paddy power, betfair and sky Vegas are now on the same license.
This should be made aware from anyone pushing them.
I’m pretty well up with the licensing side of things but had no idea about this since about 2 days back.

Thanks for the heads up Playford;)..Nice to know shit sticks!

Self excluded went on livechat as they said this was process after self exclusion the chat disconnected and the agent did not go through responsible gambling check. They opened it after 24 hours. The another agent said that if they didn't go through the responsible gambling procedure the account wouldremain suspended but it was not. I would deposit £20 before self exclusion and after £1000 they said it was normal spend.

They failed to protect me should be fined again. I was vulnerable after self excluding but they didn't return balance.

Sky Bet hit with £1m penalty over self-exclusion failures. Sky Bet have become the latest betting operator to be hit with a seven-figure penalty by the Gambling Commission, having been found to have failed to protect vulnerable customers.

Yes, but can't see this violated anywhere? UKGC have clearly advised operators about some limits which under they don't have to refund every coin on account and what spoken in this thread is

You asked your account to be opened and it was opened with 24 cool off period, so they have filled their requirements from regulator point of view. Operators do these checks by asking questions etc... but it's not made mandatory to follow any exact pattern of questions, it's taken as positive action and that you are ok with gambling when you have contacted them and asked your account to be opened.

Really can't see any regulation failure happened here.

edit: Be happy that you have these vulnerable people why few thousand new regulations are needed when grown up people need to be protected, what happened to OP is almost crime against humanity and casino should get their death penalties tomorrow morning.

I would never base a complaint around live chat telling me something, why not email their customer complaints dept/person with details of the self exclusion issue and see what they say. Then raise it with their adr if you remain unsatisfied?

Unless you have done this already? There is a fine line between helping people where the casino has clearly failed with RG processes, and on the other hand exploiting loopholes to get back losses.

Most of you dont understand the responsible gambling act where by casino has to follow. They had 24 hours to email me when chat disconnected

The account was suspended until i went through process after self exclusion but it wasnt completed

You already expressed that you want your account to be opened which is enough, then you were given 24h cool off period.

Must be traumatic experience if not getting over it in 6 years. These kind of posts makes it look obvious that more nannying and regulations to UK are needed when grown up people behave like this.
