Skrill Customer Service Quality?

I've been having the 'pleasure' of dealing with the Skrill customer service department for a couple occasions the past week. I must say I'm properly annoyed by the quality of their customer service. If they ask me to press 6. for ENGLISH, then I'm expecting to deal with a flawless English customer service employee. Although I understand the fact that companies outsource their CS department to foreign countries with low labor costs, in my opinion it should never influence the quality of the customer service.

It cost me a lot of effort to understand what these Eastern-European CS agents had to say. My current problem with Skrill is that I made a deposit of a couple of hundred euros with iDEAL (Dutch payment processor) and they claim the sum didnt arrive, while it has been deducted from my bank account and GlobalCollect payment status shows as "Corrected". Currently I'm still awaiting their final response of Skrill through email since last Friday, while they claim to respond within 24 hours. The transaction was of 25-07-2013, and it only shows "Instant" payments do have delays at times.

I even made my bank put in an investigation regarding the missing funds.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem of an instant payment not arriving in time? If so, how has this been solved and how long did it take?
 
Update: The money finally arrived with a delay of 5 days in total. I can deposit at an online casino now...:oops:
 
Had the same issue with two deposits through Ideal/Skrill, one on the 24th and one on the 26th.

Submitted several tickets and no reply yet..
Very disappointing to say the least, won't be calling them soon.

Had these issues in the past, and when i submitted a ticket it was always within 24 hour i would get feedback.
Now not even a notification email.

Hope they are just having a hiccup, cause if this is the "new" quality standard i'll just use Neteller.

As far I know the process is like this Bank --> iDEAL --> Global Collect --> Skrill. You might want to check the status of each transaction at the website of Global Collect,

. You have to put in your transaction number consisting of 12 numbers, which should be in your banking summary to know a bit more about th status of each transaction. It can be frustrating, but it should have been solved by now if this happened on the 24th and 26th.
 
I upload mostly funds from my VISA debit card and they are available instantly so no problems on this end.
But I have to agree with OP that the people on the phone have a very strong foreign accent when talking English.
I don't need to contact them often but sofar I was always helped in a correct manner.

I am Skrill VIP anyway,maybe that helps also as I use Skrill not only for gaming purposes but also for merchant transactions. :cool:

For me Neteller is better than Skrill hands down. I'm a merchant as well at Skrill, although not by choice...they forced and basically changed my basic account to a merchant account since i receive some freelance money every now and then resulting in me having to pay 2.90% on every incoming transaction.

Add up approx. 3% Forex fees and I'm losing 6% for each transaction from 3rd parties in US$, and the customer service is below my expected quality standard: no native English Customer service representives, keep getting redirected 3x, no 24-hour service like they claim to have.

After a year of paying heavy fees, they finally allowed me a second Skrill account for gaming purposes. At least Neteller has a live chat to deal with problems quickly and efficiently
 
My opinion: Support at Neteller is better, even though i had quite good phone calls with Skrill before.

But Bank Transfers are sooo much faster with Skrill. If i do a "withdrawal to bank account" at Skrill it takes 10-24 hours until i see it on my ebanking, with Neteller at least 3-5 days.

For withdrawals regarding bank transfers I basically have the same turn around time of 2 days, sometimes 3 for both Skrill and Neteller. I find it the most convenient to withdraw from an ATM, where Neteller has a withdrawal limit of 750 euros (4 fee) and Skrill 250 euros (1.80 fee).:D
