Yes it's only multihand if memory serves.
Okay I'm no math wizard so others can correct me but at a guess, if for example you keep 2 cards and discard 3 then the house edge would increase by approximately 3/50ths (very approximate) or 6%. However factor in the small "bonus" (woohoo!) award and I imagine that at least halves it. I'd guess it adds about 1% to the house edge. A pure guess.
Wizard of Odds has an analysis of the bonus variety of VP offered at Crypto

There is a difference of 1/4 to 1/2 of a % to the house edge compared to the non-bonus VP depending on which type you play.
They have 3-5-10 hand for both types of game, but single hand is only VP and 50-100 hand is only the bonus VP.
The 50 and 100 hand games are beautifully done and I play them regularly, but if I'm playing 3-5-10 hand I do stick with the old-fashioned rules.

. I had them unlock my account so I could check out the new look to the RTG table games, decided to throw 100 bucks in for the heck of it, I really miss playing Let em Ride at the RTG casino's and since I am from the US a lot of my options are limited these days. But it is a sweet hit, going on seven days with a withdrawal request and it hasn't even started processing. I am just waiting on some sort of contact from the CS with a reason not to pay me which I am sure will arrive soon in my email box
