Ummm... are you sure that's not one of my screenshots?? :eek: RTG has really burned me bad for over a month. Rarely get bonus spins and when I do, they turn out like that one!

You have my sympathy. That truly sucks.

AKA23... honey, read the the T&C before you play? Please? Having siad that, the biggest fattest hit I ever had at an RTG casino was while playing a $5 free chip. Max cashout allowed? $50

I did read the T&C. I got the bonus code from a web site that failed to mention it was only for Keno & Slots. I incorrectly assumed that the standard free chip rules applied, as listed in the T&C.

I have closed all my bank accounts and moved to strickly cash. I can no longer afford to online gamble. No matter what I do, I lose lose lose. I double down last night on a $200 bet on BJ had 11 got 19. Dealer showing 5 and gets 21. I swear my hand to GOD. I am finished with this BS! I started online gaming back in 1998. Only good thing about it is. I have more $$$ now than I did in 1998. But it wasnt from Online Gambling.
 
Here is another one from today at Slots Royale. I bet $175. I drew a pair of 8s on a 4. I split and drew another pair of 8s. I split again. I drew 11 on the first hand. I considered doubling, but decided against it, as this already was a $525 hand. It almost seemed like they were trying to get me to increase my bet more and more. All three hands lost as shown below. This is my largest loss ever in a BJ hand. Fortunately I won back 200GBP of the losses at King Neptune's.

Bad strategy! Doubling an 11 against a 4 gives you the fourth highest return of any doubling decision.

Don't trust luck, trust probability, you will be better off in the end, no doubt.

You gave up about $50 in expected value by not doubling. You should choose your bet size so that you feel comfortable even if you split to 4 hands and double down on each one. Or you could play classic blackjack which has a much lower house edge, you can only split once, and you cannot double after a split, so the maximum you can risk is twice your initial bet.

If I had doubled, I would have lost $700, rather than $525. I would have had to deposit an additional $175 to make that bet making my bonus a smaller portion of the overall bet. At a certain point, the increase in expected value is not worth the possiblity of a very large loss. I would have doubled without hesitation on a $2x4 hand, but not $175x4.

In addition a hand with multiple splits and a possible double right after a huge increase in bet size makes me suspicious of an unfair game, especially after losing an ace split on a dealer 6 the last time I increased bet size like this at Slots Royale (see a few posts back).

With MG clearplay bonus, the expected value is much higher if I bet the bonus and deposit with a large bet than if I stick to small bets. Atlantic City BJ has only a 0.4% house edge with optimal strategy. I prefer ACBJ because of the option to surrender with a large bet.

Not really a major suck shot but an interesting live hand at 365 (Which took 8 minutes to complete as the dealer was having trouble scanning the cards) Im on last base with a highrolling 4. Dealer has 7, first guy doubles 11 sorted 21. Next guy splits his Aces and is in trouble, Next guy had 20, next guy splits his 8s and gets 2 x 18. Then a double on 11 goes wrong. The guy before me correctly hits his 13 and gets a 3 for 16. He then bottles it (Next card would have been a 2 for 18) and I end up busting intstead of getting 21 GRRR. Then the dealer FINALLY busts giving everyone but me a win. :rolleyes:
 
Losing £4 is not a big deal Nafanny, bad beat though.

However, what is interesting is your assumption that the cards would have been drawn the same way if the person had hit prior to you.

Does anyone know whether the RNG is set up to deliver cards in this way?

Obviously with physical cards this is a fact but is it the same on line? Or does the RNG decide for each player for each card separately and is therefore unaffected by the previous persons play?

There is no RNG in live play. Hence, the dealer has to scan each card (I'm assuming there's some kind of bar code on each card) so that the software knows what to display on the user's end. Aside from everyone else at the table being 'bots, it'd be nearly impossible to deal out a "cold" shoe.

For the multiplayer non-live games, I would guess that the play before you has no affect on what cards you will get.....interesting question, would love to find out for sure.

That's one of the reasons I quit playing live BJ online. I got sick of people not even knowing basic strategy playing, and my losing hands because of it. Sure, you'll win sometimes off their misplays, but that's not the point.

The 2nd (and main reason) I quit playing is because BJ is supposed to be a FAST game. 8 minutes for a hand is unacceptable. It's also rediculous when they take a "time out" in the middle of a hand to chat with the other dealers. I've even seen them holding the card right in front of your hand about ready to turn it over, and they'll turn to chat to another dealer for a minute or so. Totally unprofessional.


edit: If they did that in a B&M, they'd be fired ASAP.

If you look very closely at the screenshot you can actually see there is a bar code down each side of the face of each card. :thumbsup:

No point speculating. Even if he hadn't hit he would have lost as the dealer would have had a total of 17 beating his 12.

Morose, don't take it wrong, but please read up on BS before playing higher limits like you were....regardless of whether or not you were trying to clear a bonus. It'll save you alot in the long run.
 
My sympathy, KK!

The per line payout even for (what should be) big hits on these gazillion line slots is painful. Without several 'big' wins along with decent hits in bonus rounds a player doesn't stand a chance...
