I used to enjoy playing slots.
It was a thrill to deposit 25 or 30 sometimes 50 quid and just chill and have a few hours of monotonous spinning to clear the head.
I was never very lucky but I still made small withdrawals all the same.
Last few mths well the slots as you all know haven't been playing nice.
Bonanza which I used to love is just gone to shit.
Dead or Alive. .dead
Book of Dead... dead
Thunderstruck 2... you'd be lucky to get 3OAK never mind 5OAK ...the feature NEVER comes up..nor does the bonus. Same for immortal romance.
Raging Rhino. Raping rhino.
There's loads of others obviously that I also just can't catch a streak of luck on and I have a feeling I'm just gonna close all my accounts.
Have the sad admission to make that the only reason I was throwing the extra few quid in is because my kid who is disabled is starting second level next Sept.. and the costs are just beyond my means.

I know, why didn't I save the above money?

Well cold spells like this have never lasted this long..and I figured.. maybe I might make at least a contribution to the 1500 total that secondary will set me back. (The info technology (preloaded ipad) alone she needs is 600euro) . She only gets one health system paid visit every 2mths. I was fundraising for her but very few would help out. This is a kid growing with mobility issues (cp) that need fixing. she can't do therapy riding or anything at the moment because it's too damn expensive here.
Sorry for the rant. I'm just so sick of always having to scrimp to provide for her. It should be provided by the state. . Instead of me the half witted idiot trying to gamble to win some money . . And no I'm not employed. I'm actually disabled myself. .So don't judge lol.

Why are the slots so goddamn mean now?
50 quid down the drain there... and not even a glimpse of excitement .
Feel a bit sick tbh at how scammy it has become

Was there really a time people could deposit $50 and play for hours

I keep reading this but I have a hard time believing it. Depositing $50 would last me 20 minutes! Well I shouldnt say that I did just get a nice cashout off a $50 chip but thats super rare

Oh for sure often I'd pull all nighters and get even a few days often enough.
Recently I get sweet ef all but I've still played 16 hrs at a go. I never dep more than 100.
Of course I used to be content betting a quarter to 60 cents vs my 60 cents to a buck now.

I would be fine betting .60 for a night because you can still win big off that. But $50 on ,60 honestly would not last me at all from what I see and experienced.

I wish I played enough back then that would be fun to do and I would be completely satisfied.

Gosh yes. 50 would usually have had me playing at least a few hours. Depending on luck as well. .I'm a low roller usually. Only get brave when I amass some class of a bankroll from pure luck.
As you can tell. That hasn't been happening
Just self excluded from all platforms since posting this. Am just so fed up. It was a kinda nice distracting bed bound hobby for a hobbledy bocketty woman like me.
I'm off to take some pain relief and have some sleep I think.
Laters.

Certainly was those days, not just one-off's but very frequently from 2012-2015.

Even the High Variance slots like Immortal Romance you could make £100 last from 9pm until the early hours of the following morning.

I've been playing online since 2008 and I heard the very same complaints come up back then.

What I do is to stick to the older ones, mostly high variance. I'm still having the same playtime now if I play like I used to do back then, and I'm still winning and losing as much now as I did back then. Strange isn't it?

Often it's our own way of playing that have change, not the games. And of course it's not the same now since we don't get the same thrill out of playing.

I agree with Tirilej, I think I have changed the way I play.

I always used to play with bonuses and now hardly ever, my $50 deposit now lasts but mostly not as I just keep playing the same games and lose

My betting is a bit higher as well compared to when I started playing.

I also used to play a lot at Microgaming sites and had some great luck there and now hardly play there anymore, maybe I should :)

Who knows, I am just confusing myself now :D

Yes, it is becoming harder and harder to grind your way to cashouts now. Just a few months ago, I grinded out $350 and $150 profits from Bonanza and was getting consistent 200x or more bonuses. No more. Now, I'm lucky to get 120x.

Now you need to be very lucky and hit a true "Super Mega Big Win" like I did in Viking Runecraft (5000x) to be assured of a cashout. Back in the fall of 2015, grinding was much easier.

Why they are doing this, who knows? Probably greed. It's not the casino's fault. It's Microgaming, Net Entertainment, WMS and everybody else trying to screw the gambler over.

You're right... We want to screw the gamblers over so they get pissed off and stop playing. That's our number one aim

I think it's a valid point to consider, when starting slotting I'd stick to the same betsize no matter what, hence one or two decent hits later and my session would be prolonged by hours.

With 'experience' comes greed, I find. If I start betting small and get to a certain balance, my betsize will go up. What's easy to forget is that I'm harming my playtime by about 50% or more by doing this, and so the fuzzy nostalgic memories were nothing more than being more disciplined

Take the other day, £10 up to £250 in a couple of hours. Then comes 'the raise' and next thing you know, it's time to stare at that big fat zero

Winning is almost the worst thing to happen to gamblers sometimes....it ruins expectations, everytime

£20 at Spin Palace once lasted me nearly a week!

Granted I was decorating the kitchen at the same time so it was on-off-on-off type session.

This included 5 scatters on Thunderstruck (original) and an almost screen full of wilds on the greatest game of all time, namely MG's Lord of the Rings!

Purely coincidence but I only ever used to play viper download sites and that's when I noticed my deposited on average lasted a lot longer than browser play does nowadays.

Little choice now as most pulled out the UK and I hear its soon to be pretty much abolished altogether, hoping 32 Red hang on to theirs :)

Yes there was a time 2-3 years back in fact. Id Deposit £30 play .30,.60p a spins and get at least a good hours session with ups and down and a few free spins features was always a case of get off at the right time when you were up. Before eventually variance and the RNG will kill you off.

Nowadays 30-50 quid last literally 5-10 minutes without hardly a feature bonus it's total bullshit. Everyone then ups their deposits to 100-500 quid just to compensate for variance and get a good 1-3 hours session. Still only to find it usually takes 100s of spins to hit a feature which eventually pays shit.

I know I have ranted on about this constantly this past month but I'm not alone the videos and live streams are there to prove it!

We all keep playing though because we have a gambling streak in us and its that thought of maybe, just maybe this £50 is gonna bring us a lovely return.
