RTP data collection idea

ok guys and girls ive been thinking a bit about rtp on slots and how this subject seems to create alot of debate here on casinomeister, lots of players moaning about how certain slots never seem to return an expected amount, then other forum members trying to explain that rtp is obviously worked out on millions of spins and that a single players play can not expect to show an accurate return of probability.well heres my suggestion,we here on casinomeister forum have many members who could input their data on a specifically designed thread lets say for example ive played (state game) starburst (state amount of spins) 300 (state stake) £1 (state profit or loss) loss £150 obviously lol, this data could then be collected and input into a spreadsheet and results posted periodically on the forum not by me not my thing nor i might add do i have the time but someone in casinomeisterland must have the qualifications to do so,so lets call this RTCP (return to casinomeister player) and maybe just a selection of the top games out there as inputing data on every game would be to difficult, i think having this data collected from members and being able to compare to the casinos published RTP would be interesting so any thoughts would be appreciated and any further suggestions welcome

Nice idea - but FAR too much work for anybody.
I used to record all my play on Excel spreadsheets - and included my RTP on some of them. But the problem with that is my sample size was WAY too small (usually only a couple of 100 spins). Even if we all got together we would need literally 100,000's of spin to get an accurate figure.

If you trust the casino, you can always look at Video Slots' True RTP figures

But even their number of spins may not be high enough - especially on new games or rarely played games.
I just looked, and the top game has paid out over 600%! :eek2:

I think it's a great idea.

Simplest way would be for each member to simply post amount of spins and session RTP down to three decimal places. Individual spin wager is irrelevant as odds should be same regardless of wager. This relies on accurate RTP calculation from members.

Obviously, as KasonoKing rightly pointed out, millions of spins needed for accurate reflection but may be interesting for participants if not for whole forum.

Could narrow the work down a bit with an idea of a smaller scale

Wouldn't be as useful but may give a clearer 'rough' idea of similar lots within a particular provider.

For example, we start a thread, 'Your Favourite MG, Netent, WMS' game etc etc

The slot with the most 'votes' we then ask 'X' members to do 'X' amount of spins and record their +/-

This idea will need a more experienced members 'fine tuning' but the 'shell' is there....
