RTG - What is central dispute system(dot)com used for and what are these names ?

I was trying to figure out exactly how many games RTG casinos had these days and when visiting the Real Time Gaming website

I noticed that in the bottom right hand corner there is a player dispute option which led me to a page with a drop down menu of casinos to choose from. ( see image )



Now my question I'm hoping you can help me with is this. Of all the casinos listed there I only recognize one and that is Inetbet. where did they get those other casino names from? I searched a few online with 0 results. How can players submit complaints when there are no real rtg casinos on the list ?

I hate to necro an old(ish) thread, but since the OP never got any response, I'm doing it anyhow because I think it's important.

I'm looking at the CDS website right now and the only casinos listed are as follows:

So where are the billion other casinos who have CDS plastered on their websites for people to dispute any problems? They don't even have an option to choose 'other' and enter the casino name. Is it because they don't actually care?

TBH if I was running a legit RTG casino I'd be raising all sorts of hell about this - if I've got THEIR logo on my website saying that players have this place available to make a dispute, but when the player goes there and my casino name isn't even listed...it makes my casino look as scummy as the other scummy operators out there.

And from a player's point of view, it looks like a giant FU.

It's what we have known for ages, CDS is a fake disputes resolution system set up by RTG. Even when they DO deal with a case, they find in favour of the casino. On the rare occasions they have found in favour of the player, the casino has been free to ignore CDS without fear of repercussions from CDS or RTG.

It's SO fake that they haven't even bothered to keep up the pretence by updating the list. These casinos did exist once, but many have closed, gone bust, or just done a runner with players' funds. Fortunately, at least for the reputable RTG casinos, a far more effective disputes resolution service exists called "PAB".

If you DO manage to select the correct casino and write out your CDS complaint, the next problem is getting the "send" button to work.

Of course, seeing this means that it COULD be possible to submit complaints about other casinos, but it would require knowing it's 4 digit reference number. The procedure would then be similar to how I signed my Niece's guestbook on her cheerleading website as "Uncle", which wasn't one of the dropdown options

Huh here's an interesting thing I just found. I just went to ClubWorld's website and noticed that their CDS link actually includes an ID# and takes you to the form and it then has their name filled in already. And no I'm not making a complaint against CWC, I'm just using them to test.

So as long as the website has the logo that links to the correct page, then I guess you CAN file a dispute. But how many people know to do that and not just go directly from the RTG page? And of course what happens if the casino packs up their website and steals away in the night and takes their link with ID with them?

EDIT: Maybe that's why they're only listing casinos that are dead? Once the website is gone then they have to list them so people can make a complaint???

It's still fake because the form exists in the form it does, and not an alternative manner.

It is also fake because the operator has full control over whether or not CDS can be accessed by an aggrieved player. To be a genuine system, CDS has to be independent, and that means the operator having no "keys to the door" that gives players access.

A rogue operator simply has to sabotage the CDS link so that it is rendered inoperative, thus depriving the player of the means to complain. They could even make the ID number fake, so that the form loads the wrong casino name, which would make most players give up because the form is "not working".

The fact that the form itself is so out of date, listing only 11 dead casinos, demonstrates how "seriously" RTG are taking their own complaints system.

That CDS never updates or the website never works properly sticks in my craw.

I know that all of us that have been here for ages know that RTG and CDS are .... shall we say.... less than stellar in their reputation. I mean... come on... look at the Virtual and Cool Cats that RTG so lovingly protect. Until RTG pulls up their big boy drawers and behaves like a real player in the reputable online casino business, they will always be the 'other' software. And from what I've been reading about Playtech, they're dangerously close to hopping into the same boat as RTG.

The fact that CDS never updates, the fact that RTG is deliberately USA facing, the fact that RTG players have no recourse when screwed over by an RTG - except whatever magic Bryan and Max can pull out of their... um... hats - says a whole lot about the laissez faire* attitude of RTG. As long as any Tom, Dick or Jane forks over the money for an RTG software license, then by golly... out here in cowboy town, RTG doesn't care what you do with it or how you run your business ... money talks and you can have your very own RTG casino.

CDS, Montana and whatever you call a resolution system is just something RTG invented to make it look they are looking after players' interests. A decade or so ago there was certification by Safebet which was really an RTG-controlled outfit and miles apart from the accreditation from CM. That's why I never really trust RTG and it is possible they are doing a lot of things to help their cronies ie the casinos. Of course, if we get the entertainment and don't mind losing a few lousy bucks its ok.
