Rival playtime?

Hi slotters ;) I've been playing on MG for years and (almost) always get a lot of playtime, but seeing you guys always talking about Rival I thought Id give it a shot... and It backfired terrible. I just dont seem to get any playtime. We're talking half an hour-ish here. On MG I usually deposit 50-100 Euro, play with a betsize of 0,60 and often get hours and hours of playtime, but not on Rival. I tried playing with 0,60 as I usually do, but soon realised this was way to high, so I lowered to 0,20/spin. Not helping a lot =) I DO admit I havent been playing on Rival long enough to really call it "give it a shot" but I quickly discovered the difference on the slots, being the bonus rounds that pay on Rival. I did find one slot that gave me the most playtime (All aboard) but the others just seemed just awful. Im a proud man, but not to proud to ask for a little help. So, any suggestions on slots that could give some decent playtime ( and hopefully winnings ) would be much appreciated. Maybe I should mention that I mostly play Immortal Romance on MG, and I THINK thats a mid/high variance slot, am I right? Perhaps I shouldnt really get that amount of playtime on IR with a 0,60 either, and maybe I'm just unusually lucky on that slot alone? I just dont know. Hope i didnt waste your time with this, but I feel a little desperate here ;)

Some MG casino ate my last $100 deposit in less than 25 minutes at $0.60 bet. I decided to bet lower than my usual $0.90-$1.20 bets to get some play time and I didn't get any. So yes, it can be very frustrating. Usually I deposit right back when I get no play time but I was so upset that I uninstalled the damn thing (I'll likely reinstall it later but still...)

Which slots were you playing other than All Aboard?

When I play Rival, I tend to play the more high variance slots, but I did just have a session on Pub Crawlers that seemed to go well.

That happens to me to, more often than I would like to ;) But at least I know I can get the playtime, if Im lucky enough. On Rival I just dont know where to go, which slots I should put my money in.

Well, after busting out three nights in a row I got so scared I really didnt have the nervs to try that many others, but I did try Baby Boomers Cash Cruise slot, Diggin deep, Cleopatra's coins and of course Sherwood forest fortune. Also I've played a lot with playmoney just to try to find a favorite, but they all feels so tight. Maybe Im just so used to the 243 liner slots so its mostly in my head ;)

If you've got an hour or two to spare (lol), you can watch Chopley's videos on Rival. That will give you an idea of what to play and what not to play.

Part 1 is here:

Personally I think Immortal Romance is very high variance – and a pretty awful game, on which I only ever seem to lose. :(

As for Rival, well here my personal preference is for the older, lower variance slots as I found I got a LOT more playtime on them, but still with a reasonable chance of making profit.
You can view a couple of my Rival play-logs by looking at my blogs here on CM – just click on the little link in the right-hand part of the header of this post.

All slots can be nice one day and diabolical the next, but some of the ones I found best for playtime were:
Baby Boomer’s
Fantasy Fortune
Future Fortunes
Travel Bug
Reel Party (or its clone Cleopatra’s Coins) – good for re-triggers!
Reel of Fortune
Rock On

The reason I like the above ones is that one feature or the other generally hits about once every 30-40 spins on average; it very rare that any of them go 100s of spins without triggering a bonus round.

I also like to play the 2 skill golf games a lot – the 3 expanding wilds can give great wins in normal spins and I just love the skill element of the bonus rounds.

The main reason I enjoy Rivals is that with most of their games you can hit bonus rounds inside free spins that are multiplied by the free spin multiplier - leading to some really great wins. That and the fact that I love the super high variance of Spy Game and Scary Rich 1/2 :p

Thank you, thank you, thank you :notworthy
I will run them all day in playmoney-mood, and do some researching. That's what I should have done in the first place, but I was so eager to start Rivalising myself ;) And after all, as Im a member of this splendid forum, I might aswell ask the right people. To bad with the autoplay thingy though, but hey, you cant have it all =)

EDIT: When I think about it, this IS researching ;)

YES, I noticed that to. Excellent. You have all been really helpful, so I cant wait to give this yet another shot.
Thank You all ♥

Oh, one question. Is there any game on Rival that pays in the way IM does? I mean, the Wild Desire is extremely generous sometimes.

EDIT: Just realised maybe I just have to find out that one myself. Back to playmoney sessions :)

Unfortunately, no.

Rival games are great IMO. You just need to be VERY careful about where you play. Do your research here in the forums before you commit.

The closest slots to IM I.e. multiple expanding wilds are:

Scary rich 1 and 2
Psychedelic sixties
Cosmic quest 1 and 2
As the reels turn 3 ?
Baby boomers cash cruise
A switch in.time (one of my faves)
Fixer Upper

I'm sure there's more, but none of them have random wilds afaik.

Thank you for the advices, now I have a nice handful of games to try. It really is a huge leap for me to try out another software, but I figured why not. It was also a big leap for me to work up enough courage to ask for help. Im glad I did :)

Just busted out again, and no valuable playtime. Interesting to get a bit of that loosing-feeling, but not interesting enough to enjoy it. I think this was the last Rival exploration for me... ever. Just don't get it's awesomeness. Well, at least I tried. Maybe not enough, but my bankroll is slipping away...

I have to ask: how do you approach these games? Is it high bets and hope for a hit, or is it small bets all the way? I played small bets and it got me nowhere. The winnings was just to small to make it work, or maybe Im in a loosingstreak. Just curious, because I really enjoyed the games and would miss playing them again.

start off small get a feel for the games if cold move onto new machine , if your doing ok slowly increase bet , i had a nice little run with slots capital couple of weeks ago on small 25 dollar deposit hit 2.5k cashout , mind you ive found out spygame ,heavyweight ,seem to reset the following day as i had only one feature left to get on spy game logged in different day to play some more

it was back to the start , something i had never known always thought it kept the game state from when you last played it )
even asked our rival man ( KK ) about it seems theres a few games that wont hold your last play session & that slot heavyweight has had a fair ammount of cash ploughed via it .

Technically speaking though (from experience with Spy Game), it doesn't actually make any difference if the game resets to the original first feature, since all features can pay the same. It would be different if it was more like Robin Hood or the 'Wild' MG games, where you have to collect items to trigger rounds/features.

to be honest i never new that it would reset , it isnt the point of the reset its more to the point that i have got to go through the other two features first to get to the third one which means alot more spins again & the game can be very nasty with those guns not showing )

But thats my point - with Spy Game, all three features are the same in terms of payouts, it's just eye candy, so you don't have to worry about 'getting to the third' :)

Or, at least, I've always thought that was the case, now you're making me wonder!
