Haha, this is so amusing! I just went through all the free $7-20 offers which all Rival casinoes has now - no deposit. This gives you roughly $120 of free money to waste.

I did $0.6 spins in Scary Rich in all casinoes and no luck, had some freespins but noone payd. Today I installed Sloto Cash and did a fun play for same wager. Im not going to ask, would you believe it, but guess what happened in the first $10...

A wonderful $501.69 win in the bonus, and the software was nice enough to ask me if I would like to play for real money now.. Haha! I do not think so!

Edit:
2 more spins on $0.6 after this win, another $90.30 win. Man, how "unlucky" that wasn't real money... Oh it feels so lovely playing fun money!

I know, it's really pathetic. But makes you wonder about real play all in all. Downloaded DaVinci's Gold now, 8 spins $0.60 and a 34.98 win. Making a profit just like that. LOL!

When I played in fun mode my goal was to see how many times I could pay off my house with monopoly money. I did it quite a few times. Making sure to bet the way I would if I was playing for real.

Soon as I deposited anything in Real mode.... well yanno... lol

No, don't dare kimss, he is doing good since he recently stopped gambling online...what's up kimss...

Well, It's been over a month no without deposits. I guess that is a good, let me correct myself, a _great_ thing! It was fun doing those "no-deposit" money however. That casino.com free 50 I made upto 500, but assoon as going 10 wagering they were all gone! no-deposit money are really stupid money really since they have a withdrawal limit, so if you were to win a million - it's fun money whatever way you look at it!

Bottom line, no deposits for a month! I'll have myself a sambooka shot for that when I think of it, cheers!

That's great news man...stick to the plan, sounds like it's working for you...

Leave it to me to crack a joke about making a deposit to someone who's given it up! Sorry about that... lol I wasn't serious! >_>

Congrats. Are you out for good or taking a break?

Well, being an addict it will most likely be a break. The longerthe better, and let's hope the time I do give it another shot I won't go in to hard! :D The longer in between it's so much easier infact having fun with 100!

Reality bites, no fun being honest! :)

Hang in there Kimss. U are doing great.

PS- The difference between fun and real games is the reason they have all of those fancy casinos in vegas. :)

You're an inspiration ! I know how difficult that is to do. I can be to one of 2 land based casino's in 9 minutes or less. Be catered to, smiled at, waited on...pampered while I lose my a**... But over the years they became a 'problem' for me. It's now been 4 months since I stepped foot in them.

I still gamble more than I probably should online now, but I find it easier to discapline myself here at home. And it really helps when you belong to a group like this. (just don't look at the winner screenshots...lol)

Keep up the good work!

Keep up the good work. I hope nobody takes offense to me commenting on kimss being a casino manager, but if there is anything I can do to help you get over your problem gambling issues let me know. I do know that by telling people about it, it is a humbling thing for anybody to do and it truly does help to get over these issues and to master them. The same can be said about smoking, if you have a problem but want to quit and don't tell anybody then sometimes you set yourself up for failure. It is cliche but admitting it is a big first step and is half the battle.

Congrats to kimss and my advice would be to remove the casinos completely from your system. Playing for free money or no the no deposit bonuses are nice but you are really tempting yourself. The analogy to me would be quitting smoking but having a pack of cigarettes in front of you, you can look at them but if you are trying to quit having them doesn't help knowing you could have just one.

My tips for overcoming an online gambling addiction would be to:
1. Remove all software on your computer, request to all sites you want to be removed/banned (not all will do this unfortunately), close payment processors if you use them.
2. Block all gaming websites that you visit, whether they are flash or if it's a site you have to download the software from. Just stop it! For most windows users I recommend you block them at the system level rather than trying to do it through the browser which is easy to reconfigure and override, personally I don't find them as effective. Here is a link on how to do it manually, the bad part is you have to type out each gaming site individually but if you have a problem it is time well spent. But hope one would add the proper sites and not go to a new site to get around it. That's the equivalent of going to another store for cigarettes. Visit
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

If anybody needs help on this let me know. I have used this myself to block out sites that I would visit 5 times a day or more but had nothing to do with work lol.
3. Start a blog about it and tell your friends about it so they can give you words of encouragement while allowing YOU to hold yourself personally responsible for your actions. On a side note someone who also might have a problem could find your blog and you would be helping them too

I could probably give a list of 20 more tips but I think those 3 are the best ones and are simple enough. I'll leave one more tip which is to write down on a piece of paper some of your goals about quitting and leave it near the computer so you can see it at all times. Or if you do start a blog have your homepage link to your blog.

I know the thread was about Rival free vs real play but I had to post on this. Always here to help.

Nice post there...

But, can you please comment on whether or not Rival slots (or other games for that matter) play differently in Free play vs. Real money?

This is definitely a serious issue if it's not mentioned anywhere on the website, and the sole reason that casinos using Wager21 software are on the 'caution' list.

They do in fact list that their free play games are programmed for fun, and will pay out a lot more than if you were playing for real money. The issue is the fact that they list this in a remote part of their site and not in the [free] game itself.

Do the Free games payout the same as real games?

Our Free Games are programmed for FUN and give higher payouts.

If Rival's games are programmed in such a way that free mode play will pay out more than real mode, it only compounds the problem when that box pops up asking the player if they want to play for free money after a large win.

Edit: This could be a slight oversight as well. Let's just say that Rival's "fun mode" uses your computer in any fashion for the RNG instead of their server's RNG...if that were the case then it would definitely seem that payouts are a LOT higher in fun mode, although unintentional.

Nevermind, it's definitely using the server's RNG for free play as well. I tried disconnecting in the middle of free play and it just wouldn't work. ;)

So, the question is: Does free play use the exact same RNG as real money play?

As far as I know the same RNG is used. I think the best way to prove it would be to have someone do a review of the casinos testing them and recording the stats on it. It is a lot of work for someone to do without much to gain but I believe there are others out there who look after how the real play acts. If this is rigged in any way then you should find a whistle blower out there. As far as I know in almost 2 years of being live we have a clean track record.
