Hi all, im a member of Bitstarz a couple of years but when I tried to make a rare withdrawal a couple of days ago they said my passport which I used to verify my account had expired and i had to verify my account again.I thought once youre verified youre verified end of story. Maybe im alone on this but I havent felt the need to get a new passport since im unsure where the hell im allowed travel to with all this covid sh*t.

Yeah, it happens unfortunately. If it's expired, they need an updated one on file. They're a business and need updated customer documents on file like any other business handling funds would require. This also happens with driver's licenses, utility bills, ect..

It's a minor pain in the ass but just abide by their request and it will be smooth sailing as usual. Bitstarz rocks!

Yeah I've never understood how a verified person can become unverified.

Just because an updated document is needed for administrative purposes, I don't see how the end user should face any inconvenience their side from a withheld deposit etc. It's just unnecessary red tape for red tape's sake.

It's an arse covering exercise by the casino. It's an impossibility to be verified and then become unverified. You either are who say you are at the first instance of verification or you're not. Simple as that. Once you've established who that person is as per KYC and licensing stipulations, you've established it.

The casino does need to update expired ID for administrative reasons but I can't see how it's a reason to withhold a payment. Take for example electronic verification and soft searches on your credit report by the casino...those that use this method don't constantly keep searching your credit file on the off chance you've transformed into someone else. They do the one check on identity at account opening.

Amazing isn't it, almost in 2022, and you'd think electronic verification would be standard.

Everything of note's already been verified by simply acquiring the, say, e-wallet, which pertains to your bank record, address & age, thereby ensuring casinos verifying a player would have instant confirmation on tap.

In its stead casinos still insist on PDFs, individual financial records dating back months, a hand-drawn sketch of any topic of their choosing in under 60 seconds & the obligatory grainy selfie of the hapless individual gurning whilst pressing the passport into the side of their temple and reciting Macbeth backwards.

All hail these 'legit' casinos and their 'thorough' ways!

As you said, it's funny how the obstacle is put in the road at withdrawal time. Uncanny.
