Random Jackpot info?

So been looking through old threads about rtg's random jackpots, I have never hit one in real play mode. Have hit 2 in fun mode.

But is their any new info on how these hit? Being a lowroller I guess I have no chance in hell of ever hitting one? I have been playing for about 5 years.

Can you win one in free games?

It is not possible to hit a RJ during free spins.

Lowrollers have a lower chance of hitting them, purely based on the fact that betsize influences the odds of triggering the jackpot.

Of course, there are other variables including the amount of spins you play. Obviously, if you play 20000 spins a week @.20 you'll have a better chance than someone else playing 1000 spins @$1, as you would be exposed to more trigger chances.

It has been explained by dogboy that the RJ doesn't have a set trigger amount, but rather each spin ends with a "yes/no?", and when the RNG returns a "yes" the RJ goes off. It's also why you have no better chance of hitting a RJ of $1,100 than one of $12,000.....there is no max amount. I have seen randoms up to $90,000 before.

I'm sure others can add more, but I'm almost certain nothing has changed.

Nifty is right, but the spin which triggered free spins can hit RJ and then the RJ is won AFTER the free spins. This is what I think I have read earlier.

I've been playing online for 12 years or more - longer than there have been RJs, actually. Never hit one for real $. Ever.

You have a better chance betting $100 per spin (or playing with free money LOL) -- but the amount of the RJ is rarely worth it.

I hit a RJ while playing a tourney a few weeks ago and was cussing like a sailor because that measly little $2k+ RJ hit with the stars and splash screen and fireworks was eating up my time! LOL (For those that haven't played RTG tourneys you play with a set amount of play money and time, and place according to your score - or wins.)

Well this information would be hard to come by, and wouldn't make any difference to your chances anyway.

In general, the casinos with the highest play volume would have th
e most jackpots, but you would also be competing against more players.

Anyhow, the jackpots are.....well...random. So, historical statistics are not indicative of future results.

But obviously, the higher you bet, the better your chances.

It was once stated by DogBoy, that the odds are once in every $300,000 worth of bets, so your chances of hitting a RJ is...
1 in every 1,500,000 spins if betting 20c/spin
1 in every 600,000 spins if betting 50c/spin
1 in every 300,000 spins if betting $1/spin
1 in every 30,000 spins if betting $10/spin
1 in every 3,000 spins if betting $100/spin

To be honest I cant remember exactly what happened. I know when I hit the first one I was manually turbo spinning and the screen froze up for a second and I was thinking what is wrong with this damn thing and then the fireworks went off. I went 5 years or more before I hit the first RJ and then I hit the next two with 6 months or a year. Hitting the first one might of had something to do with hitting the others because I played longer sessions after the influx of cash. You just have to be extremely lucky to hit an RJ, My advice would be to play the games you like and dont concern yourself with the RJ, it will hit when you least expect it to. They NEVER seem to hit when you are trying for it.

The most recent Hit was at Luckyred last week or so... The RJ was very High on Mystic Dragon (over 10k) so i decided to give it a go... I had just bust out and was looking to continue my session. I left the game (to find a coupon code in my messages) .. When I got back - it had been hit... I was pissed off because I kinda had the feeling it was about to pop and I was outta the game when it did!!

I point out to the missus that it took a while for the RJ to go and the new value will pop very soon... Still fuming I continue to play Mystic Dragon and Hit the RJ for $ 1040.00 off a $1.75 bet... LOL...

Anyways I was pissed off, but managed a small cash out..

I have to strongly advise AGAINST chasing a Random Jackpot - IMHO it would be an expensive folly.
There are very many players on this forum who have been playing RTG very regularly for years and never hit one - they are VERY rare.
I just treat them as an extra bonus payment that maybe one day I will be lucky enough to hit - but for the most part I don't even look to see what the value of any RJs are when I play.

In fact, probably the worst thing that could happen to you is that you hit one in the next few weeks - because then you would probably feel "it's not so hard", go chasing another one and lose a fortune...

I am not real computer literate so I don't post much in here but love to read everyone's experiences. I have tried to get screen pictures but can only take pictures on phone which is old phone not one I can transfer to computer not that I would know how..lol..but I have hit probably 8 random jackpots over the last 5 years. The first 2 I hit were before I found this website and didn't get to collect all the money. Most of the rest have been this year. I just hit my latest one at Club World casino betting 80 cents on Lions Liar for 7228.90. Last month I also hit at Club World playing Triton's Treasure for 1.75 jackpot was 1127.76. I hit 1 at slotocash on New years eve which I been drinking beer all day so didn't get picture but I know it was over 1000. I hit the minor jackpot on Basketbull at All star slots betting 1.75 and won a little over 800 dollars. I hit the mini jackpot at Buzzluck playing The Heat is on betting 1.00 it was a little over 100.00. I am going blank on name of casino but they were new and hadn't been reviewed so I deposited a little money actually lost it all and had like 1.30 in comp points was playing Loose caboose for 25 cents and hit jackpot for 6033.96 had to fight for it but got it and never played again at that casino. I also think they changed software. I agree on not chasing jackpot though because they go when they go. It is very shocking and fun to get them. Except for the jackpot playing basketbull..the ones I have hit happen within the first couple spins of the game..Basketbull I was finally switching games when that hit. I would recommend depositing as you usually do and working your way up to betting higher amounts if you are winning. There is nothing worse than depositing a chunk of money and seeing a huge balance (after the bonus) only to piss it away betting over your head because you have a gigantic rollover. $500 deposit plus $500 bonus @ 30x = $30,000 rollover. I can't tell you how many times I have done this and had some very nice hits along the way only to watch it disappear trying to meet the rollover. The large bonus balance gives me a false sense of security. I am more satisfied depositing small and working my way up.

Well the major on builder beaver on slotastic just hit, and 1 other just hit but noit sure what slot as they are grouped together but noticed on big shot it was down to just over 1,000. Since my latest play has been on slotastic I just logged in to take a quick look around.

There really is no certain amt that triggers them, it is the timing of it, pure and simple.

I do agree that when it goes off at first you think there is something wrong the screen does freeze and pause for a second, you get mad and think wtf is wrong and then the fireworks screen appears and then your saying OMG.

One was a week before christmas at Aladdins on Tiger Treasures for over $7 grand. When it happens you think ok that was easy, and you expect it to happen all the time, and for some it does, like in these threads.

I hit the minor jackpot for $1340 and being a new player I didn't realize what happened. They paid it in full but it wasn't on free games. I was betting $1.25
