Did the RJ reset itself, or was it the same when you went back to the game?

If you still had free spins left and/or if it did reset I'd definitely email/call them asap.

Common error?

I doubt it, or we would have heard about this before.

The error message needs some explanation, otherwise the fact that the error had something to do with the jackpot would imply that the player HAD actually triggered it, but a software error prevented it from being awarded to them. This would be supported by the jackpot remaining the same when logging back in. This is NOT the same as a "disconnect", the most common type of game error, as this would simply result in the reels spinning until the player exits the casino and attempts to re-connect. Any error message would relate to a connection error, and would have no business mentioning "progressive jackpot".

i have seen this message at Inetbet before - I had been playing the same game day b4 when Rj went off (not me).Obviously it was won by someone who was not eligible as after the error message booted me out RJ had returned to the amount it was prior to being hit. so as far as I can tell if you happen to be playing at the time support is resetting a jackpot you will get this message

i think this is a lot of incedenc's, and to the question about random jackpot hiting on free spins ?
please correct me if im wrong but i thought the random jackpot was unrelated to the results of the slot machien but paid out in a random fashion to players that are engauged in play at the time of award:confused:

Hi Rockycatt,

The RTG random jackpots cannot be won during free games.
At the end of each paid game there is a chance that you will win the random jackpot.
The chance is checked every paid game and is specific to the player that placed the bet, rather than then determining which player that is on at the time wins the jackpot.
The chance is also proportionately higher or lower depending on your bet.
i.e.: A player placing a $1 bet has 5 times the chance to trigger the jackpot than a player placing a 20c bet would.

Does it matter whether you are betting all 20 lines or can you still hit the random jackpot by only betting 3 or 5 lines ??

Heya,

It's only the total size of the bet that matters, lines doesn't come into it.

So if you're playing 20 lines @ 5c per line you have the same chance as a player on 1 line @ $1 per line.

I thought size didn't matter? I've seen RJ's hit for .20 a spin on up....

Are you saying someone betting $10 a spin has a greater chance of hitting the RJ than someone that's betting $1 a spin? Theoretical numbers, but you get the gist of it...

That's exactly right, it functions in the same way as the vast majority of B&M random jackpots.
In your example the player playing a single $10 spin would have 10 times the chance of winning the random jackpot as a player playing a single $1 spin.

So it's still entirely possible for players to win random jackpots on 20c a spin, but players that make larger wagers have proportionately higher chances to win.
If it was a constant chance (not varied by bet) it would result in a biased RTP contribution against players playing more than minimum stake.
