Hey everyone. I am newbie in poker. Playing like few months. I've found some information about rakeback. Can you explain smth more about it. And what is the average rakeback %?

Rake is the amount of money deducted from (cash game) hand in a poker game. Its how the casino earns money for giving a platform for players to play on. The amount varies per site, as does it vary in how it is taken (some take X amount upto X amount after a ceartin point in the hand is reached.. you can see the amount seperated on some sites from the pot if you have the option set that way)
In tournaments there is a one off rake, which is why you should see for say a $1 buy in tournament it might say $0.90 + 0.10 buy in, the 0.10 being the rake the casino earns.

Rakeback is like player points, different casinos give some back in a way of points thwt can be transferred. But with poker you can find rake back sites thwt if you join and setup an rakeback account with them and link it to a site they promote, you can earn more rakeback by doing so.
Im not sure the average rakeback from each poker site itself, some will offer more than others but by using a rakeback "deal" you can get more rakeback. Ceartin rakeback sites will for example offer 35-60% rakeback if you sign up via them, which can be claimable directly in the casino you play at or sometimes having the rakeback site itself paying directly to you on a monthly basis.
Different stakes on some casinos will offer different rakeback on each cash game hand dependant on the buy in level. And how and at what points in the hand the rake is deducted will be explained in each casinos terms and condition, this also varies per casino.
If you play a lot, and if you play more than one table, its something worth considering indeed. But if you play at 1 table at 1c/2c and maybe only an hour or 2 a day, it will barely be a noticable difference because the pot amounts being raked are so small anyway.
Hope that is of some use.

Big thx for information. Ofc it's so usefull for me. Now i'll try to find where i can get rakeback. I play like 2-3 hours a day. Don't know. maybe it's not too much.

Can you now explain me pls, why so big difference between % of rakeback in different poker rooms. For example,
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
pays rakeback in pokermonster 23-45%, pppoker 35% fix. I don't know what to choose. Or i just should try all of them?

I guess its the deal they have agreed with the poker site in question regarding the different rates, . I shoulda probably looked around myself, though i just quickly settled with a site called rakemeback for betfair poker at 35% rate.
Can't really speak for them and answer why some are able to offer better returns for the player, but whatever you decide i would check a few reviews of the rakeback site in question.

In my case, it just means the player points I'd normally get at betfair that are transferable for cash increase quicker once i link my poker site account to the rakeback account. I prefer it that way than having to give a site of whom i know little about my bank details in order to claim the rakeback. Though it is a personal preference.

As for trying all of them, you'll only be allowed to use one per casino. As once you have one registered to the rakeback site they contact the casino to complete the arrangement, so you'd have to cancel one in order to use another else the casino will notice you have more than one rakeback account setup and refuse it, if thats what you meant by all of them..
Id ceartinly shop around, and if interested in something particular check a few reviews over the internet if possible, just to be sure. I know what you mean though, i think 35% was at the lower end of average compared to other poker sites on the same rakeback site i use.
But then i originally went for them when noticing a good deal for 888.com, i think like 60%. but i dont play 888 anymore and just figured id add betfair to that same account anyway..

Firstly, World Poker Deals has a bad reputation with affiliate managers. They flaunt the Terms and Conditions of their contracts and I know multiple poker websites that have kicked them from their programs for encouraging player fraud. I would recommend avoiding that affiliate. I would also recommend avoiding shady Chinese poker sites if you have access to anything else (very few countries/players would be limited to such choices - maybe North Koreans for example).

The rakeback rates vary because some businesses want to offer more, and some want to offer less. However, a rakeback percentage is not the full story. The actual rake is of great importance as well. Lets look at an example:

Site A charges a standard $3 rake cap per hand and offers 20% rakeback. Thus, a player could expect to earn $0.60 in rakeback. Now subtract your rakeback from your rake paid, and you'll find the net rake paid was $2.40.
(there are different ways of calculating who the rake is attributed to, we're just using this as an example, it may work differently on the poker site you play at, regardless, you'll get 20% of what part of that $3 rake is attributed to you)

Site B has a HUGE rakeback deal. They offer 90% rakeback! Can you believe it! The rake cap per hand is $100. In this scenario, you get $90 in rakeback!! The net rake paid however, was $10 per hand.

Site B had far higher rakeback percentages, however it's absolute cost is more than 4 times per hand what Site A charges. Don't be fooled by silly rakeback percentages. You need to compare things on a rake per hand basis. There are of course other factors to consider (how soft or tough the sites are for example) but this is something that players often overlook when searching for rakeback deals.

where i can get rakeback. I play like 2-3 hours a day. Don't know. maybe it's not too much.

It depends entirely on how much rake you're paying each day as to how much rakeback you'd earn. If you play penny poker you will earn a small rakeback payment because it's unlikely that you rake more than $1 a day. If you play mid-stakes $400 buy-in pot limit omaha, you could pay hundreds of dollars a day in rake and earn well over $100 per day in rakeback. It's all relative to the actual rake you pay as to how much rake you get back, i.e. rakeback.

I haven't spoken to their owner in a year or so, but this is an long-term/old affiliate website and AFAIK, they are still in good standing with affiliate managers and the poker community.

Yeah it was a long time ago i set that rakeback account up. N1 for the detailed response regarding why diff sites offer different "deals".
I never knew about rb until a guy on 888 noticed i played daily on multiple tables, mentioned that he knew how i could make more and added me to msn in order to send me to the rakeback site, he was very friendly until i realized he done so in order that i can be reffered by him thus he would make 1% of my rb or some small amount. At the time i thought it was sneaky how he approached it so just made an account withiut a referal from him lol. But i figured if he uses them then why not.

Strange coincidence that you just qouted me here, while doing so i had just been reading 4 pages on the 2+2 forum MM posts you linked on the betonlinecasino scam page :). And Afaik michael is and has been out of jail and what allegedly happened was some 3-4 months ago. He did put a vid up explaining what happened, not that it means he is telling the truth in it.
He's still posting vids on tube upto yesturday... it is strange though, that the latest vid being that he wants to rent or buy 3 tour buses for his army lol and set up a go fund me for it lol. Anyway yeah probably should have posted this part of my reply in the other thread, so apolagies to the op.
Must say, those 4 pages on MM are quite an interesting read. Especially the apparant text messages he exchanged located within. So yeah, cheers for linking that.

That's a shame. He helped you. Giving him 1% would have been a nice thing to do! It wouldn't have cost you anything either! Oh well. You're very welcome for the detailed response. I eat, sleep, and breathe poker and help people all the time with questions :)

You're welcome. Michael Morgenstern is a nutjob. Three buses to haul card counters around the United States to take advantage of casinos? Yeah... that wouldn't be extremely easy to spot and shut down. Hell, casino's would love it. They could mass ban a bunch of counters all at once just by watching the surveillance videos of who steps off the bus!

Yeah i felt bad afterwards for not using his code so he could earn slightly more, especially for doing me a favour. Unusual for me to act that way  . i dunno ... at the time it felt that the way he befriended me on msn was jusrt an act to get his 1%, if i could go back id of done things differently anyway as ultimately i benefited yeah.

Mm hahaha... no words for that guy. Occasionaly watch bits of his vids as he is a character.. but usually get bored quickly usually anyway. And yer lol @ his thinking with the tour crap he mentioned on his later videos. But from that 2+2 page you linked, where his text msg'S had been pasted to see, there is a deeper motive. Though the donut didnt think to find out exactly how much 3 buses to rent would cost before coming up with the master plan.

They routinely try to circumvent player location controls. In other words, a site disallows players from X country from creating accounts, and WorldPokerDeals actively tries to find ways to bring illegal traffic to those websites using VPNs, faked documents etc. This works, for a while, until they are caught and then the players and affiliate lose all money for Terms and Services violations. They also offer deals to players that the websites do not allow and again, when caught, are kicked off.

I know this because I deal with many of the same affiliate programs and I am told, in private, about their reputation. Unfortunately I can not disclose more information on sites they've offended directly.
