I've recently signed up to BetAt (Im in Australia) and trying to play games is becoming an exercise in patients. Have a high end PC ( Win7 64bit - i7 - 16gig low latency ram - SSD - Radeon R9 290 GPU) and ADSL2+ (average d/l speed 1.5Meg/sec). Yet it can take up 15 mins to load 1 game. That's if it doesn't time out in the process. In which case, I have to reload the page and start again. Have contacted support, who like ever other casino, tells me to clear the cache and cookies, then try again. That doesn't do jack!

Anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Not the dreaded clear cookies ect, When are they going to stop using that bull s%it, Correct me if I am wrong but 1.5mbps is no where near enought, May be I may have miss read, Please let us no,

It don't tell from your post what kind of computer user you are, and how you treat it. If you are an advanced user I pre-appoligize for my suggestions. First download superantispyware and run it thru. If you'r a basic user that one alone shold make a huge difference. To this point it's pretty basic, and the following are more in the advanced area. Download toolwix care and let it do it's magic. Download CCleaner and check the automated startups, wipe out the ones you don't need, and run the registry cleaner two or three times (ore more until it's crisp and clean). Then get hold of wise registry cleaner and clean the registry two or three times (ore more until it's crisp and clean). There's actually a point in using two or three registry-cleaners, but I wont go in to that. Use the wise registry cleaner function "system tuneup" to optimize the settings. Restart. My advice is to use Chrome web-browser, simply cus its the fastest one out there, but if your not an advanced user I'd go for firefox. It has the speed and are somewhat more stable. All software mentioned are spyware free and free to use, and I woul'd have linked them if I knew if it was allowed :) Hope I helped you out, and if not, your omputer should at least run signifantly smoother

I'm allergic to support asking to clear cache and cookies as lock stock response. cache and cookies have (most times) nothing to do with game speed load - thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Questions to be asked are: do you experience in game lag with graphics, do you experience stuck load (yes it could be corrupt file from previous download that needs clearing then), if you run a speed-test, does your connection look smooth and horizontal or like a surface of a jigsaw (intermittent). etc. #

Frankly a vast range of questions most of them were trained to ask before the lock stock cookie response.

QF changed their load to CDN recently and the colour of the bar changed. We also upgraded API calls last week to the new version so i would need more info for my dev team to troubleshoot.

Rather than doing this over CS it's worth for me to take a look personally.

i'll take this over email if you don't mind. Please PM me your username

igor

EDIT: I've done some digging and found out we raised a ticket with MG regarding your case who looked into Australian CDN load times and stated that for most users the API calls and load times are OK. What i can do is organise a direct troubleshoot session between yourself, us and MG tech staff over skype or similar program to try to troubleshoot your machine directly and see if we can uncover anything.

The game load is beyond our control, but i'll do what i can to get you some answers from the people that can offer them, if thats ok.

Be careful when / if you down load any of theses, Some you may have to get from 3rd party site and can put extra on s:it on your comp, Also be careful when using theses cleaners, If you not exactly in the no howyou can wipe important stuff of your comp,
Im only saying this in case people may read this and to give fair warning

I would never jeopardize anyone's pc, I assure you. These where just powerful, but not hardcore, tools used by me over a number of years. Fairly competent with over 30 year's of experience should put some substance to it. User descretion is adviced of corse, as always, but you'r warning are over the top I think. I would never, ever risk a ban by giving shitty advices. Please explain, and I will respond accordingly.

No offence intended,
I my self use some of theses tools, I no from a long experience that ccleaner is a great tool but some people are not clued up on this and can bring up some important stuff which can than easily be deleted, Also I have been around many of friends house after they have downloaded some of these programs and all kinds was put on, 1 of the main reasons is download from the wrong site/s,

The op seem to no what he was talking about when it came to computers and with the specs he mentioned he should be flying along, There has been some talk about slow quickfire loading, but the 1st thing I would do is check connection, 1.5mbs is not no way fast enough

Non taken. Eighter use them ore loose them, you'r choice. Now, if you excuse me, I have a cold one waiting :)

i have used ccleaner as well but be aware when you clear cache and cookies that you will have to remember login data passwords etc for all sites

And that's why we use lastpass, one ring to rule them all :D

(average d/l speed 1.5Meg/sec).

Yes you misread :)
1.5Meg/sec denotes megabytes per sec, not 1.5mbps (megabits per sec).

Here are my results in mbps:

Your profile image brings back some good memories of HalfLife. That was one hell of a game when it was first released in 98 ;)
Thanks for posting and the heads up tweaks but I have things covered

You can set your CC cleaner settings to save or delete passwords, form data etc. This can be particularly handy if you happen to use more than one browser. For example, if you keep work related materials to one browser you can choose to erase passwords when cleaning, while another for personal use (non-sensitive) you can set it to keep passwords saved. This is also good when you have a spouse or parent who can't keep track of personal details but want yours scrubbed when leaving the computer.

Yea, H-L 2 is a bitching game. Playing it for over a decade now, and black Mesa free of charge? I just love, love, love it. Good thing you came back and ended this useless battle :D
