Question in regards to payouts

I am rather new to online gaming, and would like to get feedback from others regarding the issue of payout timing.

I like the slot variety at Starluck and won a bit there. When attempting to "quit while I was ahead", I decided to cash out some but not all of my winnings. Since I try not to claim bonus promotions, I did not have any wagering requirements to satisfy. When I hit the cashout button, it stated that I must wait "at least" 8 hours from last deposit before requesting a cashout. I had been playing there approximately 2.5 hours at the time of this request.

Is this normal in the industry or is it a ploy to tempt one to continue playing in hopes of winning but actually losing their winnings so no payout is possible?
I rather think that it is the later but would like some input from others.

I look forward to all replies. Thank you

Every form of delay is designed to try to trick you into playing more.

As for Starluck. Apart from that annoying 8 hours after a deposit wait they are great with paying. You will have your money in your Neteller account within 30 mins. Which makes them one of the best casinos when it comes to paying their customers fast.

My advice if you want to withdraw but know you might be tempted to just play a bit more. Uninstall the program and re-install it when you can withdraw.

good advice

thank you Freudian for the reply. That is good advice to uninstall...I will remember that and do in the future.

I'm also glad to know that they pay pronto once the waiting period is over.

Thanks again.

You get that a lot with most casinos, with microgaming casinos when you request a withdrawl they all you to reverse the withdrawl within 24 hours, I'm willing to be a lot of people are tempted to withdraw within 24 hours.

Instant withdrawals

And what about those casinos, who promise instant withdrawals? Do they really give you money in 1-2 hours?

AFIAK Phoenician and Nostalgia really pay to Neteller in about 5-10 minutes.

It's more like 5 minutes, not 1 - 2 hours and yes it is true. It's only if you use Neteller though. I did not believe it would work and that there had to be a catch but then I did it in Phoenician Casino and it was there 5 minutes after logging out of the casino. All you have to do is log out of the casino after making the withdrawal and it will be there. There is also a $2500.00/day limit but if you have more just split up the withdrawals.

30 minutes?

just made a cashout request and got informed via mail that it will take up to 7-10 days to be processed to my neteller account coz some "gaming experts" have to take a look at my game logs....

a bit weird, isn`t it?

edit: LOL, just didnt see that this thread was from 2004.sorry.

the thing to ask yourself is, have you ever come across a casino that will say, you deposited a few hours ago, you will have to wait 8 hours before you can deposit again?

If you give in to temptation, you shouldn't be gambling in the first place. ;)
All joking aside, I would just create an account with another casino and make a small deposit to play with until I could withdraw. If you play the winnings, you'll lose it.
