I just wanted to know how someone who isn't on staff with your casino got ahold of my name and address and sent me a CD for your casino?
I'm sure you are aware of his/her name (Joaquim who claims to have won 1,453,610.18 on your Major Millions Progressive Slot).
I do not play at JackPotCity and I am pretty upset that my name and address was passed on to someone who isn't even working at the casino. He/she actually states in the letter that they aren't staff and just a player!

Sounds like Jackpot city is sending out a promo using the likeness image or signature name of the WINNER - to try and get you to play.

You may have played at a sister site - or maybe put your name into a draw somewhere.

WHO knows.....

Sometimes they just get names and addresses from online sign up things - and other times - they buy the lists....

Oh I've played at Bellerock once about 3-4 years ago and I wouldn't mind if casino staff sent it(I'm use to spam). But when it clearly states that it is from a player and not staff it does tend to get upsetting.
Why pull a stunt like that instead of just stating it is from the casino promotions staff?

More stupid marketing. This does NOT go down well in the current atmosphere of security leaks, such as the theft of the Ladbrokes database. It looks at face value as though the BelleRock database has been leaked out to a PLAYER (probably an affiliate too), who is using it to send out the CDs.

IF it came from the casino, they should say so. This kind of thing can have the opposite effect, with potential players steering clear because they believe a PLAYER was able to get hold of their data from the BelleRock database.

It is actually ILLEGAL in the UK to lie like this on advertising material, there must be NOTHING misleading, or incorrect, included with any promotional material, however sent.

Exactly vinylweatherman! You hit it spot on on why I took the letter at face value.
With everything thats going on with security leaks nowadays, one can never be too sure. It really upsets me that a casino would do something like that!
