Punished for depositing?

Something really curious happened at Slotastic and Jackpot Capital. I use to receive generous monthly no deposit bonuses in the mail even though I only deposited and played occasionally. Then I started making more deposits. I admit i am not a high roller but I deposited and played more often than I use to.

I didn't use any bonuses and I didn't win so they were ahead. But the thing is they started sending me significantly smaller no deposit bonuses in the mail. They also for the first time refused to give me a birthday bonus.

I am not understanding this and wonder if this has happened to anyone else. Or if this is due to some type of internal change at their casinos and is just a coincidence. Either way it is very confusing and has costs them some deposits. I have reduced my online gaming a lot and it will be reduced even more. I don't understand what is going on with RTG casinos.

lol, I've seen it happen loads! Entice with goodies, ok, we got you, no need to spoil you anymore. But remember, never hurts to ASK for a freebie; if they think you'll go elsewhere, you'll probably get it

I think they're just cutting back on the free chips across the whole player base. The last couple offers I've gotten through snail mail have been for deposit bonuses.

This groups freebies and bonus offers are anything but generous when you take into account the play-through required. :( 30x for deposit bonuses and 60x for the freebies.

Not a good deal at all.

This is surprisingly common. I quite often find that when I take a holiday from regularly depositing at a casino, I get sent bigger and bigger offers. When I return to depositing (with some of these offers), they dry up and get replaced with smaller offers. I have also found that in many cases climbing up the loyalty levels does not bring any better offers.

I find it best to rotate the casino installed, so that none end up taking me for granted. The trigger for a rotation is where the offers tail off as they take my regular deposits for granted. There are a few casinos that have never been rotated off my desktop since the offers have never dried up. 32Red is always installed, and GNUF has been there for ages. Oddly Casino Rewards is there, although I do rotate between the many casinos I have accumulated as they have hoovered up large portions of the MGS estate. Their offers are per player at any one casino, not per casino. 2 Fortune Lounge casinos also sit there, mainly due to them being long term Gone Gambling sponsors, which is why Slotland and WinaDay links sit above them. Club World bonus banned me, so got uninstalled long ago, even though they too are long term Gone Gambling sponsors.
Roxy Palace got installed for about a week after a "please come back" offer and upgrade to VIP. I came back and they then didn't follow through with sending me the VIP newsletters, not even the ordinary ones.

Casinos will usually try to get you back when you stop depositing for a while and go elsewhere. If they don't, it is because you are not a valuable player to them. often this is because you are ahead, or your regular play didn't make them any money, which might happen if you make very small deposits, or only ever deposit for the very best offers.

Thanks for the replies. It confirms I wasn't imagining things or that it was just a coincidence. I also agree their bonus terms are way too high.

I couldn't agree with you more

To be fair though, they did send out a LOT of freebies. Even with the high wagering I managed to cash out on several of them, and without that high wagering I (and everyone else) may have cashed out on all of them and they'd have been broke years ago.

Maybe they're planning to drop their WR and not send out so many free chips...?

I don't doubt at all that they are having a tough time.

First they changed the payout time, and now they have started to cut back on no deposit bonuses.
They have also started to totally bonusban some people, including me:rolleyes:

I never used a deposit bonus, so no matter how much you deposit, without using bonuses, you can still get banned.
For me I had recieved too many no deposit chips, and also cashed out on a lot of them.
I was certainly not a valuable player:p

Accounts closed in that group. I couldn't find a single reason for keeping them open;)

LOL ain't that the truth!!!

Never ever had I made a deposit before a "live drawing"....and some how
always managed to "win" a free chip(mostly $25). So for some odd reason I
decide to boost my chances and make a deposit before the draw......hehehehe(NADA).
Maybe it was truly just a coincidence but boy was that a big let down!!!!
