Ive had promotional offers by phone before but never one quite like this one :eek2:

A casino ( no names mentioned) phoned me a moment ago telling me i had a pending withdrawal with them. He offered me a 25 % bonus on the cashed out balance, IF i reversed it back into my account. :what:

I wasnt quite sure what to make of it at first, but its certainly a potential alarm bell going off in my mind here. Its not as if were even talking a large sum of money here either. A sign of hardship one wonders? or just a greedy way of trying to prevent you from cashing out?

Remember a similar case here a while back. Have no idea how to find it though.
Anyways I seem to recall BB making it very clear that this is no way for an (accredited) casino to act. And I agree. Once you've made your withdrawal it should be final.

Was this call from one of the accredited casinos here ??

Was it a playtech casino by any chance? They used to pull tricks like that - usually by email though I seem to remember hearing of a phone call too.

I think it was a Playtech casino - can't recall. It's not entirely roguish behavior, but it's frowned upon - a bit slimey IMO. I hope it wasn't one of the casinos listed here, because that is relatively uncool.

You cash out - you cash out. Imagine a floor manager tugging on your sleeve on the way to the cashier in Vegas. "Have I got a sweet deal for you..."

FU! Get out of my way, man!

I recall Carnaval pulling this trick although they didnt phone and just sent me an e-mail with a similar offer. That was more than 2 years ago.

Very highly accredited Rob yes and no not playtech, an MG and yes its on the accredited list. This is why i was so surprised.

Wow! Hey Bryan can Audi tell us who it is???? I play at a ton of MGs, I'd like to know if one of them is grasping at withdrawals as uhhh...I dunno....a last chance before going under....?

I woudlnt have said its a sign that their going under. Maybe more a sign that things are a littler tighter than usual, but isnt that applicable to almost everyone at the moment? Im keeping my eyes and ears open and rest assured should i garner any further impressions about this I will let you all know. Until then though i dont want to tarnish or garner what for me has been one of my fav casinos and will continue to remain so, for now anyway.

Like Casinomeister this is just the management doing that extra effort in keeping the money, reversing the withdrawal will most likely make you loose the money. On the other hand, if you're gonna play anyway - and if you get 25% extra without and strings attached - say 1x playthrough - why not take it?

I had similar phones some years ago from accredited casinos in here phoning me giving me money just for opening the account, I remember it sounded a little fishy on the phone but how is it supposed to sound when a person phones you to give you free stuff...

They do go far in preventing a cashout, that's for sure, :D
