The number of problem gamblers in the UK has fallen in the period until the end of March 2019.

0.4% of respondents were classified as problem gamblers down from 0.7% and 1.3% were classed as moderate risk down from 2%

The survey found people using online casinos had risen to 19.7% up from 15% in 2016 and football gambling was up to 6% from 4.3%

This is great news and shows that GAMSTOP has had the desired effect (despite it's workarounds) along with TV/radio advertising for players to be more responsible.

There is no doubt the sudden increase in online gambling is due to bookmakers cutting FOBT bet sizes. Every betting shop I walk past in London now is empty

Online gambling activity in the UK will continue to rise for a few more months, but predictions from industry experts show a decrease once new regulations come into force over verfication and enhanced SoW checking.

That's fantastic to hear. I think it might be to do with awareness as well. I know I am more likely to say something to a mate who seems to be going over the top now than I was 15 years ago.
